I love the Jane! Staff is always courteous and easy. My only complaint is that each floor always has one shower door that won’t stay open after use. Those showers smell because they never air out. Mildew smell is awful compared to the shower where the door is always open. I made this suggestion before but I guess it fell on deaf ears. I’ve stayed on every floor…shows how often I return. ;)) Other than that….I will always return

Horrible experience it is totally FALSE the pictures online , it is lime horror movie cabain other people were yelling screaming and fighting I was about to call 911 , the front desk person acted disrecpecful claiming they were kids having fun but the group was over 18. It was dirty it has flies and they do not care, plese Do not, I repeat do not stay there. False advertisement the pictures I had to sleep dress because it was bad.

I adore the Jane!

The Jane is one of my favorite hotels in the city. Perfect for just me for a few days, and I actually really enjoy the tiny little “cabins”! Super cozy and the service is very sweet, will always come back here!

I’ve gone to this place for a number of years but I noticed that some areas, like the bathrooms, were a little run down. They were doing renovations of some of the rooms when I was there so they appear to be working on it. I’ll still go back because it’s a in a great area and a great price plus, I love the history of the building.

The only good thing about this property is the good staffs they have ,the place was like a prison ,very cramped . No access to stairs in case of emergency. The property should be scraped and a new one built .

I would like a refund

There were mosquitoes, flies and rats in the hotel room. There was my strappings behind the bed. Where you lay your head and although it is a nice styled hotel, there are people who live there permanently and do not have good hygienes. Therefore the hotel needs to do some cleaning up. I was moved from one room to another. Where both times there were mice droppings and mice sighting

The Shame of NyC

The imagery used in your online listings is misleading. The elegant lobby featured in promotional photos was entirely inaccessible during our stay, yet no clarification was provided prior to booking. There was loud and disruptive construction both inside and outside the building, including on our floor, something not disclosed at the time of booking. One of our rooms had no functioning electricity at all. We had to speak to multiple staff members before anyone addressed it, and even then, the issue was not resolved promptly. As a result of this failure, we were forced to separate from our minor niece, who had to be moved to another room alone- an incredibly stressful and inappropriate situation for a family traveling together. The hallways, especially near our door, smelled strongly of urine. It was unclear whether the smell was due to poor sanitation or an actual incident, but either way, it was revolting and deeply embarrassing. Several public restrooms were out of service, which compounded the discomfort of our group. Throughout our stay, we were made to feel like second- or third-class guests This experience was a far cry from what I once valued about The Jane. It is unacceptable for any guest, let alone one hosting visitors from abroad and relying on your hotel to provide a welcoming, professional environment. Given the severe and numerous issues we encountered, I am requesting a full refund for our stay.
