"We visited in early august so the water near the house was really warm. It felt great on the cooler days but too hot on the really hot days. As shown in the photos, there is not a “beach” spot to get directly into the water. We used tubes off of the dock, sups, kayaks, etc. We were traveling with small kids (1+3) and the spot by the lake on the property had some great shade. There isn’t grass or anything for the littlest one to crawl around down by the lake point but we put her in a tube with a bottom and she liked playing down there under the trees when she wasn’t in the water. They have a great yard to play in with grass, a fire pit, swings, hammocks, and some yard games. We liked that there wasn’t a tv in the upstairs living room. Easy walk down to the lake access. We rented a pontoon boat a couple of days from the marina and it was really nice to be able to see other parts of the lake and swim in the cooler areas. We also visited the beach at the state park which was great for the little ones. Really great place to stay!!"
