The location can’t be beat, and it provides all the basics for business travel. Among the sticking points though were absolutely inconsistent water temperature in the shower (without warning it would get hotter or colder) and the very loud construction happening above us on the sixth floor, which began several mornings around 7:30am. The latter, honestly, was the worst part. If you’re going to place people on the fifth floor while renovating the sixth, I think they should be warned or given some kind of discount.

We arrived early left bags for the morning we had requested twin rooms but got doubles. We returned for check in at 3:00. Our rooms were not ready. We were eventually given room keys at 3:50 went to the room to find the cleaner still inside. We returned to the reception to let them know it was still being cleaned and had to leave bags again in storage as we had a meal booked . Due to the issues at the hotel we were u able to shower and change before our meal. We were given a drink each as compensation. However there was no draught beer available due to pumps being off. We eventually got to our rooms when we returned in the evening. The rooms were clean but the coffee cups were dirty. We were never told what time breakfast was or given information about WiFi etc. Extremely poor customer service. We have previously stayed at Raddison Blu chains in the past as we visit annually (formally the Grafton) and have always had a pleasant stay which is why we opted for this hotel but unfortunately we have been very disappointed on this occasion. We understand that some things can’t be helped but the customer service was very poor.

As usual the staff were friendly on arrival and quickly checked us in and stowed our luggage until our room was available. The reception area is comfy and welcoming with water for those waiting and biscuits and apples for the guests. The bed was comfy,the free toiletries were good quality and tea and coffee in the room if required.

Room was dated and a little 'tatty'. Door looked like it had been forced open, as there were lots of screw holes in the top of the door. The door leading onto the hall way from the stairwell was not secured, so no security between the lobby and the room doors. Staff were friendly and polite, but the cost of the room definitely did not reflect the standard. Overall the hotel itself was good, but the room was poor. Wouldt stay there again.

Excellent location close to the west end, just a short walk to the hotel from the main tourist drag, making the hotel that bit quieter which was nice. The room size was very small. Fine for an over night stay but much more would have been a little uncomfortable.

The location is great, but the rooms were tiny and not typical hotel layouts. They were more like apartments. The bathrooms followed the room design, which was extremely small. Sitting down on the toilet made my shoulder touch the tiny sink. The shower was not clean. The toilet didn’t flush well and required multiple flushes. The breakfast was mediocre at best.
