Convenient to everything

This is within a very short walking distance from the main railway station and old town, and the trams (eg to ZeppelinField). We had a very quiet, comfortable courtyard room. The staff were helpful.

Avoid for ev chargers and for service

We stayed one night at Hotel Leonardo Royal in Nuremberg and had a frustrating experience, mainly due to mismanaged EV parking and poor service. We chose this hotel because it advertised EV chargers, planning to charge our car overnight after a long drive. On arrival, we found several chargers — all blocked by diesel cars. Despite raising the issue with staff and the manager, no real help was offered. Their only suggestion was to “check back ourselves” to see if a spot opened. This is unacceptable. A hotel promoting EV facilities should ensure they are accessible, not rely on guests to solve the issue. We even suggested a simple car swap to access a charger — a reasonable solution — but were met with excuses instead of action. Staff were defensive and unhelpful throughout. It didn’t end there. We asked for a kettle and were told to come get it ourselves. Even budget hotels offer better service than this. In short, the hotel’s service and management fell far short of expectations. There was no proactive support, no accountability, and no customer focus. Would not recommend — especially if you drive an EV or expect basic hospitality

This place could not be more convenient. It’s just steps from the train station and across the street from the main entrance to Old Town. Despite being adjacent to the station, it was very quiet and comfortable.

We arrived before lunchtime recognising it was too early to check in and simply wanting to drop our bags so we could go sightseeing but was waved off by front desk staff who was prioritising check outs despite having just checked in guests that were in front of us. We had to wait for another staff to do the bag drop. Whilst the room was clean and comfortable, the water temperature in the shower would sporadically change from scaling hot to cold. The TV shows itself as being a smart tv allowing you to cast from your devices yet it is not connected to their network so the function was useless. When we called front desk for help they said only tvs in their suites were connected to the network. Overall, it was fine for a 1 night stopover stay but we would opt for elsewhere next time.

The hotel is in a very convenient location, 5 minutes walk to the central train terminal and 10 minutes walk to the old town. Our room was clean, bed was comfortable.
