This is a fantastic hotel next to independence Park. Don’t believe the bad reviews, this hotel is going under renovation and our room was updated and clean. Loved the daily afternoon complementary wine, also free coffee in the morning. Also very quiet. Walkable to lots of restaurants and bars

The room was nice and clean but poorly lit, and the beds were very comfortable. I did experience several service issues, some were resolved, while others were not. The gym was closed, which required walking a few blocks to work out, and the Red Owl restaurant was undergoing renovations. While I’m not sure what other work was being done, there was nonstop tapping noise starting around 5:00 a.m. each morning, which was disruptive. The bright spots of my stay were the front desk staff, who were exceptional, very friendly, and helpful. The afternoon social hour was also a nice touch. While I can’t say I would stay here again, the location is convenient, with easy access to shops and local restaurants
