I have stayed at the Iveagh several times before and have always had a lovely time. This time was fine too however my room was on the top floor at the front of the hotel, which meant the room was smaller than many of the others I had been in and was also very noisy from the street outside (nightclubs on a Friday night). I had previously stayed in a room at the front before and the street noise wasn’t an issue (maybe it was a different night of the week or the windows were thicker) but this time it was quite loud. I called reception that evening to ask if there were any rooms at the back of the building that I could move to. I was told there weren’t any available. I was never asked if I wanted to upgrade however (which I would have payed for). I wasn’t even offered ear plugs. Customer service has always been very good on previous occasions however I felt this time it was lacking. The lady who checked me in and out also came across as a bit short with me, couldn’t pronounce my name and didn’t really make any attempt to. If I’d normally rate customer service a 5/5 this time it was a 3.5. The room was also a bit smaller with lower ceilings but was still fine and very clean. I still feel the rooms could do with mini fridges though, considering it’s 4 star. Overall it was a fine stay, the room was clean and. Icy decorated as they all are but the street noise did continue into the night and woke me up on a couple of occasions.

Great service as usual, I got upgraded to a room with a balcony and complimentary breakfast, which was great, lots of selection of hot and cold food. Beautifully decorated hotel and very clean, great location and although it can be a bit noisy from the street and surrounding bars and clubs outside, once the window is closed it’s very quiet, I had no trouble sleeping at all! I would definitely stay again!

This hotel is really amazing, it really has a 5* feel and the staff can’t do enough to help. It’s in a really good location near shopping and transport points. Couldn’t recommend enough!
