early flight next day

Decided to stay at metro hotel because it's so close to airport and was great value for money. Didn't look much from outside so wasn't expecting much inside but I was pleasantly surprised. Reception staff lovely and friendly. Very clean spacious rooms. Bed wasn't as comfortable as other hotels I have stayed in. Had food in restaurant and it was the best curry and chicken wings I have ever tasted. Waiting staff so professional and friendly. Couldn't do enough for you. Had a early flight next morning and had a wake up call.we ordered the mini van from hotel to airport few minutes away was all.the service was just 2 euro each for return. Left car in hotel car park for the week that cost 30 euro . fantastic value. Overall a very pleasant stay with great service and fantastic food.

Emergence event

I had to book this hotel on Friday for a stay on Saturday, following a family emergency. I thought the hotel was well worth the money. It is new, clean, functional and the staff are very friendly and helpful. A previous reviewer mentioned the smell of cigarette smoke, which I did get in the bathroom in the evening. Personally, I didn't care too much, because the hotel was perfect for my requirements in every other way. I had bigger fish to fry... I walked over to Ikea to stretch my legs and get some air (I live in Cairo!), which was nice, but I wouldn't recommend it at night, as it's a newly developed area and a bit lonely. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. Note that it is a 10-minute drive from the airport.

Warm welcomes

The staff really made this hotel what it is. Warm welcomes on meeting and you were treated like a special guest whilst feeling like you had made great friends with the greatest of service and the best food we had in Dublin compared to anywhere else. having been here before I'm delighted that the standards never dropped. The facilities were excellent and very clean and if you needed something you didn't feel apprehensive or nervous to approach the staff. My wife and I would highly recommend this hotel. The airport driver that brought us back on our return to Dublin was a great craic (a real Dub) and so friendly to every one on the shuttle bus, a great asset to the Hotel

Airport transit

Located about 10 minutes from the airport, it is an inexpensive place to stay while waiting for a flight departure. The major drawback was the hotel shuttle which we waited for at the airport for about 30 minutes. We finally gave up and took a taxi to the hotel to discover the next morning that you have to pay for the shuttle on the way back to the airport. It was not expensive, but seemed a little cheap simply not to include it in the price of the room. Not serious but a little unpleasant nonetheless.

Very satisfactory transit stop

I used this hotel after returning my rental car to overnight before my departure from Ireland the next day. The staff were helpful in various ways, the meals were very good, internet connection was fine, and the room was well-appointed and comfortable.

One night stay

We stayed here for one night as we were collecting relatives from the airport early on the Sunday Morning. Parking was limited outside the hotel. When we booked in the girl on the desk was pleasant enough, telling us all about the meal specials. What she neglected to to tell us was that there was 2 underground car parks, which were secure. we had alot of valuable gear in the car, (golf Bags). but were never advised about the secure parking.
