Wonderful stay at Mespil to start our holiday in Ireland. Staff was very courteous to allow us to check in earlier, and helpful with restaurant and sightseeing suggestions. Would highly recommend.

A massive thank you to the wonderful staff at the Mespil hotel. The hotel is located in a perfect area to access all parts of the city. The rooms are spacious and well kitted out. Night at the theatre

Lack of hotel parking was annoying. The hotel sent an emaila day or two in advance of our stay that it's limited and on a first come first serve basis. If that was made clear at time of the booking we would've booked another location. A lot of door slamming outside our room, doors didn't have great sound proofing. Bed was comfortable, room was done up recently.

Bathroom was out dated and had cracks and was a bit rusty all around it. For the price it should have been better. Everything else was great. The staff and other facilities were excellent.

Our stay was going great until unfortunately our group was refused entry to the hotel late at night. On day two of our stay, some friends visited us on their very short layover in Dublin and had plans to sit in our room until they needed to leave again. They would have stayed no longer than a few hours, just wanted to sit down and use the bathroom. The staff very rudely refused them from entering the hotel unless they payed for a room. They were forced to either wait on the streets late at night until their bus came or pay for a room. We were not made aware this was a policy beforehand and it left our group with almost no options. We are very disappointed.
