First off, there’s no air conditioning in the whole building, and there’s no mention of that on any website. That forces you to open the windows, which you soon learn have no screens, which in turn lets in the mosquitoes. If that’s not bad enough, there’s a dog next door who barks constantly, even at night. Finally, there’s nothing nearby. Nothing! It’s a residential area. We had to walk about a mile to the nearest commercial area where we found some restaurants. If you’re into old school and nostalgia, this hotel might work for you. Otherwise, there have got to be better accommodations in the four star category close by.

Very disappointed

Our room was well decorated but very small and dark, it was on the ground floor and had no natural light. The bed was also small, not a double as advertised. If you don't like rugby this hotel is not for you, we don't so our weekend was pretty awful.

Great 2 day visit to Dublin

We stayed in room 227, which was very nice withplenty of room and a great shower. We ate in first night and food and service was excellent. About a 40 minute walk into Trinity College or 2 stops on the Dart. They sold us tickets to the on off bus, but was charged full ticket amount; but you can save 10%+ if you book on line.

Great Hotel

Fantastic hotel, nothing is too much trouble for the staff, they are all so friendly and helpful. Great location short walk to Sandymount village and the strand, very safe area. Fantastic breakfast.

Sandymount Hotel

Great place to stay. Wonderful amenities and great staff knowledgeable about the neighborhood and City. Easy walk to Sandymount Village shopping and to Irishtown as well as Sandymount Beach. Also 1/2 block from the Aviva Stadium. Sandymount neighborhood is an older up scale neighborhood - very nice. About 2.5 km from St Stephen’s Green and Trinity University area. Staff was very helpful in arranging transportation.

Beautiful hotel and great location.

Love this hotel, nothing is too much trouble for the staff, they are all so helpful especially Beatrice who is really helpful and very welcoming on each visit. The rooms are lovely here, highly recommend breakfast too. Great location, easy public transport links to the city centre and very safe to walk to Sandymount Green and along The Strand.

The hotel was nice. We enjoyed the restaurant. We enjoyed the restaurant The Chophouse around the corner and the pub almost beside it. We did find the hotel somewhat noisy through the night with guests up til very early in the morning.
