Staff are friendly and nice. Breakfast options were great but we had to wait up to 30 minutes to be seated when we arrived within the last hour. It was also quite loud and felt very crowded. The sunbed situation at the pool was really disappointing. Not enough sunbeds for amount of people. In addition at least half of them had no cushion and it wasn’t comfortable at all. Rooms were cleaned with a broom but not once mopped in the two weeks we were there.

AVista grande is in a great central location it’s not a huge property but it offers a lot, the pool is great and the rooftop bar is fantastic As is chard restaurant on the property. We also stayed at the surin which is fantastic and service was incredible so we had high standards but there is nothing around it, no shops and not much to do, AVista grande has great shops and bars very near by so you need to weigh up hotel resort v’s location !

Amazing experience, the hotel is sparkly clean, professional staff, a few minutes walk from the Karon beach. The breakfast is incredible, wide variety of food and drinks. In my the Mountain View is preferable than the pool or sea view, quieter and authentic. Our second time in Phuket and definitely will return to this hotel!

No wifi access unless you are willing to join their "club". No restaurant or spa menus in the room (and also not listed on their wesbite), so we only tried one of the restaurants once on the first night we arrived (The dish was well below average). Breakfast was good and the service staff excellent. Beware of the bell service staff as they are untrustworthy, they organised a "taxi" to Patong for us for 500thb. It sounded excessive and I questioned them about it. I was right, we were picked up in a car that was NOT a taxi and we were indeed ripped off as we discovered on the trip back in a different taxi. Overall the stay was not a pleasant one, we were just a number used for profit, never again.

The place to stay at Karon Beach

We came home yesterday after a 6 night stay. We wish we had stayed longer and we were very sad to leave. The hotel is just beautiful. It truly feels like you're in paradise. We didn't get to experience The Chard, which I regret as it looked excellent. The food at Portosino is just delicious and probably the best we've had on a holiday. I am craving the food now!! There are one or two issues with service at the restaurant but managers are very keen to come over to introduce themselves and take on board any feedback. The hospitality generally is just excellent. Yes there are some issues getting a sunbed but there are shaded areas to sit with your feet in the pool. The beach is less than a 5 min walk. The "hill" is an incline and not a problem at all although I can see how it might be an issue for wheelchair users. Would definitely recommend and we would definitely come back to this hotel.
