Booked a weekend away without the kids (very rare!) for my husband's birthday. Upgraded and booked a balcony room and bottle of fizz on arrival as a birthday surprise. The "balcony" was the width of one paving slab - nothing like the photos on the website with tables and chairs - there wasn't space! We were also given a twin room with the beds pushed together which was really uncomfortable and the bottle of fizz was supposed to be a nice surprise while to got ready to go out wasn't there. Reception said they would bring it the next day but the surprise was spoilt. As it was late and there was no drink, we dropped our bags and went out. Had a terrible night's sleep - kept crashing into each other in the gap in between the beds and noise from the street. Spoke to reception in the morning but had a very frosty response from a member of staff who really didn't care - she claimed the patio furniture was removed as it's cold (there's no space for it!) and if I wanted to change room I had a choice to pay 50 EUR per night to upgrade (again) or downgrade to a double but no refund. Chose the double room but didn't even get the complimentary water we are entitled to. The safe in the new room didn't work and the bathroom flooded. Breakfast was good if you got there early, but later on when things run out that's it (e.g. hash browns and croissant - the popular items). Really unimpressed with the service and would recommend staying elsewhere, I would never go there again.

Very clean and comfortable, good location just off Wenceslas Square. The staff are helpful friendly and attentive. The Neighbour's leave a lot to be desired but don't really bother you.
