The location of the property was perfect. Walking distance to a lot of local shops & restaurants. The breakfast was alright, nothing special. The parking was a problem though, during my entire stay there wasn’t any parking in the free lot off site and I paid for street parking every couple hours. It was annoying to have to think of that . The WiFi in the room was spotty and kept going in and out. The only place where I never had any issues with the WiFi was in the lobby. While the hotel was decent, there are better options in the area. I wouldn’t stay there again.

Perfect location, just steps away from everything downtown. Also just steps away from bus stop 8 that FlyBus stops at, which will take you just about anywhere. Front desk was kind and helpful at anytime.

This was the best hotel for our stay. Directly across the church made for easy walking around the city. The hotel staff were exceptionally nice and helped give us many ideas on where to go. The hotel was very cute and comfy. Would definitely stay here again.

Totally recommended

Great hotel with excellent location, if you only have a day at Reykjavík this is the place to stay because all touristic spots are walking distance. The girl at the front desk during mornings and another lady named Sophie were so helpful. Breakfast was fresh and good (specially a black bread). The room was a little small but clean and cozy with a beautiful window view of Hallgrimskirkja.

I would pay people to not stay here -

This was the worst hotel experience in my life. Upon an hour of being there the fire alarm in my room went off from a less than 10min shower ( windows were open ) this happened over thrrr times while there. I was repetitively told it wouldn’t happen again/ not the case…. I was woken up by someone who works there banging on my door for literally no reason after being up for hours due to fire alarm in middle of night. I was told I would be compensated for this horrible beyond experience and I have not seen any refund on my account. Please advice -

Great location! Good service!

Front desk super helpful. She helped us booked the Blue Lagoon tour and 3 hour early check in. Just keep in mind that there’s extra fee for this. I think it was 1,500 kronas per hour but not 100% sure. Awesome breakfast!! Love the tuna egg salad and pickled herring. No elevator but the floors are very accessible even if you have big suitcases due to very short stairsteps. Perfect location. Would definitely come back to this hotel for next visit:))

What’s not to enjoy. Can’t beat the location. Available free parking to the left of the church is super convenient and safe. First come first serve basis. They will ticket you if you don’t follow the rules. I would certainly recommend this hotel! Quality breakfast buffet was great too! Staff was friendly and professional. Thank you for a memorable stay!

A good choice

This hotel had a lovely breakfast and a great location across from the iconic cathedral. The building is old and has been retrofitted over the years, so some of the features are a bit clunky like the shower and washroom. I also found the bed mattress to be sagging, enough that it was uncomfortable after several hours of sleep. However, the pros definitely out-weighed the cons and I would be happy staying here again if the opportunity arose.

We needed a place to stay last minute and were able to get a room that satisfied our needs for a very good price. Our room had a window facing the front of Hallgrimskirkja church so the location was about as good as you can get in Reykjavik. It was close to many excellent restaurants and downtown shops. The bathroom was very small (about 18 square feet, 1.7 square meters) but it did the job. Breakfast was included with the room and was quite good. I had local Skyr each morning.
