We really enjoyed this hotel! The location is excellent (right in the middle of everything and walkable to most anything in Reykjavik). The staff are friendly, kind and knowledgeable. The bed is comfortable and the restaurant is reasonable and tasty. We would highly recommend this property!!

This property was in the center of downtown and so many excellent restaurants were close by. We went to the brass kitchen, the Baldi’s ice cream shop and we took a nice long walk over to the steakhouse. It is. Busy street. But not too noisy. The staff there at the front desk absolutely gave us the best recommendations for places to eat.

We were a large group staying at hotel two days early for a cruise. We arrived at 11 AM and three out of the six rooms were ready, the other three were ready by 1PM. This was welcomed news after a redeye flight. Rooms were a bit small but comfortable. Very clean and comfortable bed. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Fantastic stay at Hotel Von! Casper was there to great us on the day of our arrival. Even though it was early morning he was able to check us into our room. The room was very nice with modern accomendations. Hotel restaurant service was very nice as well. I woul definitely stay there again on my next trip to Reykjavik.

Although it was a very nice property, we noticed our bathroom vanity light did not work. Our hot water kettle was covered in dust, and there were 2 tea bags but no coffee or sugar. 2 of the 4 pillows were completely flat. The bed was less comfortable than other beds we slept in along the Ring Road. We would probably seek other accommodations for a future Reykjavík visit.

Short stay in Reykjavik

Room was comfortable although not large. Issues though included street noise when bars let out throughout the night (up to 3am). Also a kettle and 2 tea bags…no coffee option which is standard in hotel rooms. Also the restaurant downstairs is not part of the hotel so there is no room service or ability to charge things to your room. Location is very good. Building new or modernized anyway.
