The location, the Skylab and roof top swimming pool, the gym (which was undergoing an update), the Wave beach club, the breakfast food selection and especially all members of staff, primarily Joao Alfonso on reception and Carmen who looked after my room. All staff were great and professional at all times and were so helpful and always had a smile on their faces. Please note, some room refurbishment is underway, so a little noisey during the day.

Great location, stunning views and pool area

We arrived to check in at just after noon and there was a huge queue. Check in took 40 minutes but we were able to access our room at that point. The room was very big with a view of the ocean. Sadly the windows provided very little sound proofing and the ‘party’continues all night on Cocacabana Beach. The roof top pool area was divine and we loved spending time relaxing there in the sunshine Sadly at check out we were met with a similarly long queue / wait. It is a big hotel, with more than 500 rooms. More staff are needed on reception at busy times.

My room smelled musty this was quite hard to deal with considering we couldn’t change rooms- they all were bad. had mold growing on the wall. Lampshades, carpeting were stained and filthy, sheets probably were clean but had some stains on them. Also, our air conditioner didn’t work. We asked 2x for repair and zero… Breakfast was the same everyday - mediocre…

This was a wonderful hotel. Very safe and clean. The vip check in was awesome, though slightly inconvenient due to their open hours and number of staff. The room upgrade process was a little confusing but the cost was reasonable and worth the money. The location was great as well. Will definitely return.
