Loved the resort vibe for a few days of R&R with the family. Naturally heated pool and hot tub, clean rooms, lots of parking, and on site laundry of you need it. Hotel has a breakfast and dinner buffet options. Would recommend.

Nice place. If you’re doing any tours it’s convenient because you can be easily picked up. It is a bit away from the local dining establishments but if you have a car you’ll have no issues. There are some nice hiking paths nearby too but be forewarned the sulfur smell can get pretty strong.

We were first stuck in probably the worst room in the hotel, the furniture was old a filthy dirty. the bathroom fixtures were rusted and molded and the air conditioning unit didn't work. We talked to the front desk and they moved us to a newer nicer room because they couldn't fix it. The new room was beautiful and clean. But then they turned off the hot water to the hall and didn't tell anyone. With the new room is was an acceptable stay. I will say that the staff at this hotel were amazing and so friendly and helpful.

Its the only buffet breakfast that Ive found that has a hot carved ham available. What a winner. I booked a valley view room though and ended up with the carpark. Make sure you stipulate a walk in shower as the tub under ones are getting scruffy

We had a one bedroom suite which was clean and spacious. The bed was extremely firm and we did not sleep well. For an expensive room, they did not replenish the coffee pods which I thought was a bit cheap. There was also no crockery, cutlery, or microwave. For a suite, I would have expected some extra amenities - for example, the Rydges in Wellington CBD has microwaves and induction hobs. The pool was lovely and warm and so were the spas, but the spas are old and the plastic is cracked - time for replacements. In summary, this was ‘ok’, but for the cost, I’ll be trying somewhere else next time
