Upon check in they notified us that they gave our room to someone else and did not have the space to accommodate us. Offered us a room that would sleep for but it did not and we had to request a cot for our daughter at 10pm. During our stay of 5 nights they had LOUD PARTIES in the courtyard until 1 am for 4 of those nights. We lost power for about 4 hours one morning, and there had to shut off the water from 1-4pm the day of our vent when we had 22 people in 8 different rooms who needed to shower and get ready. The only compensation we received was free breakfast twice and $50 off of the first and second night of our stay. Bathrooms don’t have exhaust fans so it makes the rooms hot and explains the mold and rust in the showers. Breakfast menu was OK food was bland and limited options. French toast was burned, pancakes were thin and dry. Pupusas were burned by being left on griddle until someone eats them. Cook was friendly and accommodating. Manager Ofelia was kind and understanding but I don’t think she did her best in showing us they really wanted to do right on the hotels part for all the issues we encountered during our stay. Our entire group will not be back and I will not recommend them in the future.

We had a 6 night stay at the Courtyard Marriott and booked a total of four rooms for a family vacation. The hotel is located in a very nice area of San Salvador, right next door to a mall with several restaurants and shops. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always greeting us and being willing to go above and beyond. The hotel breakfast (not included in the room we chose) was outstanding, undoubtedly the best hotel breakfast we’ve ever experienced. If you have breakfast by yourself, the price is a bit steep at $27.99, however you get a discount for the second breakfast. Be prepared for pupusas, plátanos, chorizo, pastries, and much, much more. The selections change each day and I can say we enjoyed it each time! The only area that could use some improvement is the condition of the rooms. I feel like the bathroom fixtures and other small details should be updated to match the aesthetics and cleanliness of the lobby and other common areas, which were always very clean and modern. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the future. Thank you to all the staff for making our El Salvador vacation a memorable one!
