Great location

Returned for our second stay in this Villa, which is in a great location. The property is in a very quiet location and the gardens and pool areas are very private. The villa is within walking distance of the beach and a number of bars & restaurants. Looking forward to returning for another visit

Perfect perfect perfect

This villa is amazing, the bedrooms are a good size. The lounge was comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, the bathrooms were great (although they are wet rooms so the water goes everywhere which was a pain in the smaller one as the water literally came out into the hallway. We had to use a rolled up towel to stop it spreading but in the end we gave up and all used the same shower). The pool was definitely the winner here, it’s huge and great to play or relax in. The air conditioning for the main bedroom is in the hallway so doesn’t really work in cooling the bedroom but was ok. There is plenty of storage. Great having a washing machine and washing line as clothes dried really quickly (we really could have taken a quarter of the clothes we did). You need a car to get around at this villa. It’s a great base to travel around the island We found it easier to drive into Lidl in Mahon for a big food shop as local supermarkets were quite limited Laura was very welcoming and helpful and very easy to communicate with. Would love to go back sometime (I didn’t want to leave)

Simply Lovely!

The villa is more than adequate and a great base for a family holiday. The pool and outside space are super and the occasional visit from the tortoise was great! A fantastic week, would certainly come back.

Amazing Villa

This was our fourth year in a row staying at this lovely villa and won't be the last! What is most appealing to us is the privacy and peacefulness that it brings, allowing us to completely relax. The owners have made a few changes, such as new furniture in the lounge, fully re-decorated throughout, and the addition of air conditioning in the third bedroom. A short walk from local beaches, shops, cafes and restaurants, coupled with the ideal setting of the villa make it a perfect holiday. If we are allowed, we will be back!!

Very enjoyable stay

Very good-sized pool, very clean. Well-equipped kitchen. Good sized bedrooms, two bathrooms although one quite compact. Good seating areas: on the patio and two in the grounds around the villa. Quiet location but quite near sea, restaurants and shops.

Welcome pack

Fantastic villa great pool and outdoor space. Very quiet and relaxing would definitely stay again as everything is close by. The ham platter was a very nice gesture but the only I would say is because we were arriving so late a small bottle of milk and a loaf of bread would of suited us better. Otherwise everything fantastic thank you for letting us use your villa. 5***** all round.

A lovely property and a lovely family holiday

The property was perfect for our family of 5. We had a fabulous holiday and would highly recommend both Menorca and this house. Our 3 young boys loved the space outside and spent most of their time in the lovely swimming pool. The house was clean and well equipped, with airconditioning, mosquito nets over the windows and plenty of blinds and shutters. A wonderful 12 days. Thank you so much. Hope to come back!

Balearic beauty!

This is undoubtedly one of the the nicest rental properties we have stayed in during holidays throughout Europe. The setting is superb - unbelievably spacious grounds, with different seating areas, completed surrounded by lovely woodland. Morning bird song and starlit nights. It’s very private and quiet. There is a footpath through the woods at the side of the villa which connects with a road at the edge of the urbanisation , with steps down to nice small restaurants, bars and shops at Cala Torret, a pleasant 10-15 min walk. Inside, the villa is very well equipped, with loads of glasses, kitchenware crockery etc. Nice furniture, comfy beds, linens, towels etc. It felt like a home from home. The pool is superb. We had great communications and a nice welcome on arrival. Brilliant!

Well appointed villa in good location

This is a clean, freshly decorated villa, well-stocked in the kitchen so self-catering is a pleasure. We were a couple, but the villa is set up for six. From first contact with Laura, the owner, we felt in good hands. Laura was quick to respond to any communication and helpful in answering any questions and was readily available during our stay. The villa is located in a quiet area and is not overlooked which made relaxing by the pool a joy and will be a benchmark for future rentals for us. There are no long distance views, but the wrap-around forest and vegetation offer seclusion and peace. The garden is large and includes a less formal, more wild area that attracted the wild Menorcan tortoises. The patio and pool area are excellent - very well maintained and very clean so there is no problem going barefoot. Nor did we find any leaves or other vegetation fell into this area as we've found in other properties we've rented. Tucked away around one side of the villa is an area with a rotary clothes line and a drying rack, accessed either from the garden or directly through the utility room. In case of rain there is a small amount of line drying available in the utility room which we found a thoughtful extra. We found access to the utility room through the third bedroom odd, but as this room was not being used, it didn't bother us. There were also bulbs missing from some lamps/lights, but we found the rooms we were using adequately lit. We enjoyed the pool, which is larger than usual and the electric pool cover kept in the heat. During our fortnight's stay, the pool maintenance man came once to check all was well, though not to do any cleaning. Having said that, with just two of us, the pool remained clean so didn't need any attention. The pool loungers looked new, though we felt they needed cushions to be comfortable. The shaded outside eating area was really lovely and, because this side of the property faced south, the additional, new awning was welcome. There was a faint smell of petrol or diesel from the area around the pool pump room. We liked the air-conditioning in the living area as well as two of the bedrooms and with the doors and windows closed the inside of the villa on hot days was a welcome place to retreat to. When we were there in September, the biting insects were a real problem, so the insect screens on all the windows were a godsend. Seating in the living area is for four people - not a problem for us, but worth noting.

We very much enjoyed this villa. It was clean and tidy. The location was quiet and secluded. Shops restaurants and beach close by. We met Laura the owner at the villa and she showed us around the villa and explained how everything worked. Lovely size pool.The air conditioning was very welcome as the weather was very hot We would recommend this villa.

Perfect location for a peaceful relaxing holiday.

Our first time in Menorca so we were unsure as to a good location. We had decided to stay in another part of the island but liked the look of this villa so much we changed our plans. I'm so pleased we did. We cannot fault a single thing. Excellent communication with the owner throughout. The villa was breathtaking; everything we had hoped for and more. Our group consisted of elderly grandparents and children but everyone was happy. The pool was used daily, the grounds were perfect for nature hunts ( the tortoises and lizards loved watermelon). We sat and listened the bird life of an evening ( Scops owls and nightjars to name but a few) and enjoyed the solitude. Once we discovered a short cut, it took us 10 minutes to walk to the local shop which stocked everything but there are various supermarkets within a 20 minute drive. We ate in most of the time and the kitchen has all the utensils you need. The large fridge freezer was perfect and the cool box was ideal to use for day trips. The WiFi was fast, water pressure good and showers hot. The surrounding area was residential and very quiet. Mahon is a 20 minute drive and Ciutadella 40 minutes away. The roads are good and everything is well signposted so driving is easy. We rented from Poppy cars who were really helpful.

Fantastic villa, pool and town

The villa is beautiful, spacious and a ten minute walk from a couple of restaurants and a bar. A short drive to Punta Prima for the beach and a fifteen minute drive a large supermarket for filling the cupboards. Laura is a great host and it's great to know she's nearby if anything goes wrong, not that it did. She was very understanding when we arrived late. Don't hire a car from Autos Menorca to save her any future pain!

Beautiful & quiet Villa

This is a lovely secluded villa close to Cala Torret & Binibeca. My wife and I had a very peaceful & relaxing holiday here. Everything in the villa is of a high standard & spotlessly clean. The pool is lovely with a motorised cover to help keep the heat in. We did walk down to Cala Torret (about 20mins) but a car is advisable really, especially to visit other places on the beautiful island of Menorca. Thoroughly recommended- we hope to come back! Thank you for looking after us Laura!

Everything you want and more for a family villa holiday.

This was our first stay at the villa and we absolutely loved it. We will definitely be returning! The pool was perfect for us and our 2 children ( 6 & 9), who spent hours every day playing around. The facilities were great. We loved the BBQ and using it regularly. The location is perfect.It was lovely and quiet and surrounded by trees. There's an easy walk to the sea, shops and lovely restaurants. We fully recommend this villa to anyone!

This was our first time in Menorca and our first Owners Direct villa holiday. We would certainly return, both to the island and the villa, which is located in a quiet area and within easy walking distance to the sea, a supermarket and restaurants. The villa was comfortable and well equipped, with the swimming pool becoming the centre point of the holiday for our grandchildren and a great way to cool off every day. A great location for a family holiday.

Beautiful, peaceful, secluded villa holiday

Villa Marmirada is in a quiet area just outside Binibequer. A lot of roads and infrastructure have been put in but not many villas have been built. So the villa enjoys a secluded setting, surrounded by trees and not overlooked by any other properties. There is hardly any traffic or pedestrians on the road outside. You will most likely have to drive to get anywhere unless you like a good walk, the nearest shops, bars and beach are about a mile away. But we loved the villa so much we didn't venture out much. Laura (who co-owns the villa with her sister Barbara) met us at the property and gave us a guided tour and explained all the facilities. She was very friendly and kind to us and went out of her way to help us when we left something behind on our last day. The villa itself is built in a traditional style, but is modern, clean and well maintained. The rooms are all spacious and beds are comfy, the kitchen is well equipped. The veranda has a table and BBQ area which is sheltered from the sun and makes a cool retreat in the hottest part of the day. The pool and garden areas are lovely. The pool has a motorised cover which you can close at night time to keep it warm and plenty of space around it for sunbathing. The outside shower has hot and cold water to it, which is a nice plus to avoid the shock of ice cold water. The garden is quite large and has some lovely trees planted and a gazebo to use as an alternative to the veranda. There are wild tortoises and lizards wandering around the garden, which we found a delight to watch their antics. My only very minor criticism would be that there is a little bit of airplane noise, but it is infrequent and only a distant rumble, so not really a nuisance unless you are very fussy. In summary, this is a perfect place if you like privacy, tranquility, relaxation and a slow pace of life...which we do very much!

Wonderful!

We stayed here with our son, daughter-in-law, 2 grand daughters 6 and 9 and their cousin also 9. There was plenty of room for all of us. The property is amazing. If we were home the kids were in the pool-as were the adults quite often. We had a small problem with the sink which Laura took care of right away. The location is great for beaches, restaurants,etc. We would love to come back someday.

Very good villa with a nice pool in a peaceful spot

Good sized traditionally furnished villa on a large plot surrounded by trees with a South facing patio and pool. We were met at the door and provided with all necessary information on arrival. The owners responded to emails very quickly and were flexible regarding dates and arrival/departure times. The villa is shielded from any wind and the few other villas nearby by the trees ensuring that it is sunny, very peaceful and very private. The villa is well equipped, comfortable and provides a relaxing holiday with a good sized private, sunny patio and pool. We had an excellent fortnights holiday at the villa.

Fantastic and just right for our needs

This was our first time in a villa, previously staying in hotels. We are now converts! The owner met us at the villa and was very friendly and welcoming. The location is ideal if you like peace and privacy, within a large plot. It is only a short walk to the local supermarket and bakery but also only a short drive to the bigger supermarkets in Sant Lluis. We used the pool every day, a pool that is well maintained and very clean. At night time we turned on the pool lights to create a lovely atmosphere. The villa itself is well equipped, clean and spacious. We all had our own space if we needed it and we were spoilt for choice with communal areas. What was nice was that the lounge area contained a large number of English books, maps, guides, games and puzzles. The villa is a short drive/long walk to a lovely beach at Binibeca, with ample parking nearby. There is a café on the beach and plenty of room for everyone. You can hire sun loungers and parasol for 8.50 Euros each for the day. Another great place, with a choice of restaurants is Punta Prima. Further afield, Mahon is the main town on the island, with a very picturesque harbour and a busy centre (plenty of shops ad cafes etc). Near to Mahon is a smaller but just as lovely town called Es Castell. The harbour front is lined with restaurants and cafes. It is a good idea to book since it is very popular. What is amazing is that parking seems to be free wherever you go. Best to go out slightly earlier in the evening where spaces are more available before it gets busy. We contacted the owner on two occasions - he was very friendly and helpful on both occasions, which made our stay that much better! A lovely holiday and if we are allowed to come back, we will certainly be looking to book again!
