My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Homewood Suites Savannah. Staff was accommodating and friendly we especially liked TJ at the front desk. Sheila D was most helpful in booking our trolly tour. Housekeeping was very responsive. The only disappointment we experienced was the unfriendliness of the bartender on Thursday afternoon. Wasn’t very pleasant just made the drinks and was it was clear he didn’t want to engage beyond that. We are friendly by nature and there was no smile, poor attitude in general by him.

Waited an hour for our room to be ready & was then given the wrong room type. One out of three elevators was in working order & we were on the 8th floor which was the top floor & the hotel was busy so had to wait for long periods of time to get an elevator to our floor. Room was not clean. The kitchen area & trash cans very dirty. Then, at check out we waited over 30 minutes for our car to be brought around to us. The staff was not welcoming & clearly very confused about their job & never once apologized for any of the disruptions especially the hour we had to wait for our room to be ready & yet was given the wrong type room after all of that. The breakfast not any better than a Days Inn. Definitely will not stay there again.

Television would not turn on when I arrived. Was quickly remedied by maintenance. However it would not turn on again the next morning Parking was a problem,as I was not given a choice to not use the valet . Cost me $10 to get my glasses I had forgotten in my truck. Also Hotels.com charged me $60 to change the date for my stay,they never notified the hotel of the change,so when I arrived, I had no reservation. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel was very clean.

First 3 days of stay there was only 1 elevator working for the crowded mother's day weekend. We never had our room cleaned the entire 4 days. The attendant knocked on door to clean 1 day after 4pm when we were trying to relax after day of touring and before dinner. No one ever cleaned or at least emptied garbage the entire stay

The hotel was beautiful and the room was in great condition. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel Our refrigerator was turned off when we got into the room, which was a problem for us just because we booked a hotel specifically with a refrigerator/freezer to transport breast milk. However, after turning it on it was cold in about 2 hours, so no big deal! Our only real complaint was parking. We picked this hotel instead of other Homewood suites because it specifically said valet parking and that there was parking for buses/rvs. So we came with our truck and trailer. There was very little guidance from the valet staff about where a large vehicle could park other than the parking lot across from the hotel (but no real area set aside for this type of vehicle and nobody equipped to direct where to park them or to drive them if you wanted valet) So we parked it where there was a big enough space- no big deal. But then a car blocked us in. The valet couldn’t say where the car was from- not valet, not sure if it was a hotel customer, but couldn’t get it towed or removed. So my husband had to drive over curbs and damage our trailer to get out (we of course asked if it was ok to do this first) all of these were minor inconveniences

The main staff didn’t seem to care regardless of many deficiencies: Elevators stopped working and we had a baby/baby stroller. The lobby staff didn’t ask if we needed help nor apologize for the elevators. We also requested a crib. It came broken and there was a big shard of glass in it. Again, the lobby staff didn’t apologize or offer another crib. The 2nd day the security alarms went off for 5 minutes hurting our baby’s ears. Staff didn’t say what happened and didn’t apologize. Last day we went to the pool where bartender was inconvenienced by our orders. We felt rushed to order and pay since he kept reminding us he was off the clock soon. The pool itself has a great view but there was a thick film of grease/suntan lotion. It seemed staff didn’t care to clean it. I am not going back to this hotel. I’ll spend $100 more and go to the many other hotels on that street.

Staff was friendly. Pool area was nice. Negative: 2 of 3 elevators were out of service for our entire stay. I got stuck in elevator for a short period. We had to carry our luggage down 7 flights of stairs during checkout. Ice machine on our floor was out of service. Room service was fair.

A slightly ongoing irritating issue-our suite had 1 drinking glass in the entire kitchen. Our room had a kitchen, but only 1 glass. We called down for wine glasses, and got 2 tumblers. We were too tired to do anything about it our first night. Second day, realized refrigerator was not working and our food was room only temperature even though in fridge. Engineer came and saw the on/off switch was in the off position---we did not do that! Also, again asked for wine glasses and got 3 more tumblers. Just irritating, we wanted to relax on the balcony and have a cold glass of wine, but it was not to be. Refridge turned off and no wine glasses!

The property was excellent smell good staff very pleasant. And what i didn't like the breakfast they could do muc better for their guest the sausage was half cooked
