Great location for city

Had a great trip on Saturday night. Clean comfy room. Nothing flash but did the job perfectly. Selected the hotel on the value for money and location and we weren’t disappointed. Only a few mins walk to the nightlife and shopping. We are in the bar and we were stuffed. Amazing chicken wings and burger. Nice bar great to watch the sport on one of the many screen. Friendly staff and amazing food as I said. I’d recommend this hotel as a value hotel. You get what you pay for but the comfort and cleanliness is very important even for a few guys heading for a night out.

City Center Hotel overlooking the Shannon River.

Pros: The room was super comfortable and spotless. The waitress we had in the bar was just fabulous so friendly and helpful, went above and beyond to help.
Cons: Don't tell customers you will upgrade them unless you know what upgrading means.
Location: Great location with a few minutes walk into the city center and also a lovely view over the river Shannon. We walked to Thomond Park to the rugby easy
I arrived early and the lovely receptionist took in our bags anyhow, I asked if we could get an upgrade and she had a look and said certainly and said she had done it and she would see us later, we returned a few hours later to check in and received our room key. Got to the room to find we had unbelievably been Downgraded!!! we had booked a triple room with a double and a single and paid for it only to be given a twin room with 2 singles, back down the lift and then got our room, a triple, they obviously just tell people they will upgrade them for the fun of it as we certainly didn't get it, why tell someone something you wont deliver on. There was also loud weird noises like roaring engine, we thought it was the showers upstairs of perhaps a generator but it was so annoying. The wifi was showing as excellent on the sunday morning but was obviously turned off as not working.

Great Location and an enjoyable stay

The hotel is in an ideal location if you want to be in the centre of Limerick and close to all the shops and pubs! It's very reasonably priced and has McGettigans joined onto it which is great! The staff were really nice and helpful except for one man who worked in McGettigans! His name was Dave and I've never come across a more rude and ignorant man in a hotel! The way he spoke to us was disgraceful and it was like as if we were causing him huge trouble when ordering food or drinks! Four of us were paying for breakfast one morning and asked to pay separately which was no problem for us to do with any other staff member but his response was 'would ye not just put your money together?' while he was shaking his head and tutting at us! There were many other incidents with him also over the duration of our stay! It's such a pity that this man left all of us fuming leaving the hotel as all the other workers were so polite and friendly!

new year eve trip away

While the hotel room was nice and very clean.it was the adjacet car park that was the trouble.it is suppose to be 24hrs.we pressed the buzzer and waited and waited. No one came to open the shutter so we could park in the car park.which u get the car park fee discounted by the hotel.so we had to park on the road.also the hotel key cards never worked.so annoying going to reception at 2am to get them re issued nightly.
