Staff are lovely and welcoming - and very helpful. Rooms are spacious. Beds are comfortable, including nice pillows. Showers are roomy and bathrooms very clean. Close to many good restaurants and shops. Walkable to Camana Bay and beach (near The Sovereign). Hotel itself is not on the beach, but we drive to our preferred beaches or walk to the beach using the public path near The Sovereign. A short drive to the Fosters at Camana Bay for groceries. Good parking behind the hotel. Pool and exercise area small but perfectly formed. Nice beach towels, beach chairs, beach bags and water toys/floats available, so you can go to the beach of your choice. All Cayman beaches are public up to the high water mark. So, you have your choice of where to stop for a swim/beach day. Ice available to take picnic to the beach (there is a cooler space in back of beach chairs). Full breakfast included - lots of choice in the included menu. Scoops ice cream (awesome Devon I Scream) is in the building. They have other wonderful desserts including the best carrot cake I have had. We have stayed twice and will stay again next year. Like the solar power through panels on the roof.

Great Location, Comfortable Room, Wonderful Staff

The Locale is perfectly situated in the middle of the famed Seven Mile Beach area. We were a few minutes walking from the beach, and great shopping and restaurants. If you need to drive anywhere, and we did a lot, again, the hotel is in a great spot. Also, you get a very nice hot, complimentary breakfast at the downstairs restaurant each morning of your stay. The room was modern, very spacious, clean, and comfortable. And the hotel keeps it that way. Lots of room to spread out. Quiet too. Even before we arrived, members of the staff were super attentive to our inquiries. They genuinely cared about our visit, start to finish. The manager, Tyler, is caring and nice, and staff members follow that lead. Front desk staff are friendly, authentic, and contain a wealth of local information, with a personal touch, unlike what we heard from others about more famous nearby hotels, and their staff who simply go through the motions. In fact, on the plane out of Grand Cayman on the way home, I sat next to a successfull businessman who could stay anywhere, and he had high praise for The Locale. Special thanks to Cher, who works the front desk. She gave us important information before our arrival, and while we stayed. And she even arranged for us to get into our room a few hours before the designated check-in time, and we did arrive well before then. This nice convenience never happened to us before, and it allowed us to get settled and get going with our vacation without delay. Thank you!

Staff was really friendly and went out of their way to make our stay safe and comfortable Restaurant needs some improvement, menu wise, but service wise ok with limited resources they have to deal with Perhaps they could work with meal delivery services to make it easier for guests to order out, such as Uber eats and such Alternatives for us were to walk and buy food from other restaurants nearby since the restaurant menu was so limited especially staying there for a week

Great location, but okay views. Perfect spot for an economically priced hotel in Grand Cayman. The rooms are really nice, staff is great and breakfast included. Lots of parking and close to the beach.

Best part is the complimentary breakfast at the Bonfire restaurant. Room was large, clean, and had a mini kitchen. Walkable to several restaurants, The Marriott, and Hampton and a tiny beach. Two mile walk to Georgetown if you don't have a car. Small "motel" type pool, the hotel does have nice beach towels, chairs and umbrellas for their guests at no charge. Wonderful ice cream shop next door. If you're looking for a resort experience don't stay here, but if you want a nice, clean, reasonable priced room whit a great breakfast, this is the place.

Our first time to Grand Cayman and didn’t want an over the top resort not did we want to get involved in renting a car. The Locale is in a great spot, convenient to all types of places to eat and shop, and several public access points to the beach. Included breakfast was great and the beach towels and chairs a great bonus. Best of all, staff is super friendly and helpful.

This hotel is a real gem and within easy walking distance of the beach. They even provide beach chairs, bags, and towels to take with you. The free breakfast was quite substantial and it is within walking distance of other great dining options. The room was huge and we were sorry to be only staying one night!
