The room was excellent, but overly warm even with the 10-15C outside temperature. Staff were friendly and highly assistive, but the only opened the restaurant for breakfast and I think the bar ran from 11am-4:30pm. The location is excellent and the old world building exuded charm.

This is a very nice hotel. Only a few blocks from the Bund. Also a few blocks from Nanjing Shopping Street. The hotel is very nice. My only complaint about this hotel is that Hotels.com reservations are put in the back of the of the hotel facing the back of another building. Not only is it an ugly view but the back rooms get no natural light. When I asked for a better room I was nicely told that "discounted rooms get the back rooms". I was then offered to upgrade the room at a higher price.
