I stayed at the Okura Garden Hotel Shanghai for nearly a month and had a wonderful experience. The bedding was very comfortable, the room was kept spotlessly clean, and the indoor swimming pool was my favorite part of the hotel. The housekeeping staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is a little old and dated, but the rooms are nice, clean but not worn. The service is great. For the price, it's hard to find a place in a better location. It's a classic hotel with a lot of history.

Perfect stay for Shanghai

I stayed in the Okura Garden Hotel for 5 nights whilst exploring Shanghai and seeing friends - and have no regrets with my choice. The location is perfect for exploring the French concession area, with a vibrant coffee/cafe, brunch and bar culture - you won’t be able to experience them all! It’s a 2 min walk away from South Shanxi station making travel easy from the airport and to explore further afield. The hotel itself is classic and traditional in style, but still has the feeling of being recently renovated - the pool, sauna and jacuzzi were highlights in particular. If you’re not too keen on staying in a super crowded and touristy location (ie Nanjing Road) and want to experience a vibrant Shanghai neighbourhood this is for you!

The view from the room( on the 26th floor ) is beautiful. Lounge is the place for relaxing while having a cup of tea with some foods and desserts. We had a lovely stay at Okura Garden Hotel. The hotel is in a beautiful historic building in The Former French Concession. The location is great with multiple subway lines close by and walkable to many sights. The room and beds were very comfortable as well a nice bath. The hotel is in super convenient location for shopping and transportation. All staffs are very friendly. The service is excellent . There are beautiful view and comfortable environment for having French cuisine foods and enjoying afternoon tea on 33rd floor.
