Overall a wonderful location. Rooms and facility is a little dated and run down but some upgrades have been made since I last stayed here under the old name, Inn by the Lake. We had a nice lake view room and booked 2 rooms around 6 months in advance. For some reason we weren't able to have rooms next to each other even though we booked so far in advance, that was a little strange to me, but oh well. The hot tub was really nice and roomy. The pool was nice but a little too cold for most people. I don't think it was heated. It wasn't as cold as the lake, but pretty chilly. Overall we had a great stay. Just make sure you don't close the glass door when you sit on your patio. One of our family members got locked on the patio when the slider closed behind her, the lock somehow engaged.

The view from my room was gorgeous. It was near a restaurant with gf options and it was easy to walk wherever I needed to go. The mattress was my only complaint. But everything else was so great I’ll definitely go back.

We liked the fact that there was no housekeeping at all. If we needed something we just had to ask the front desk. Pool and hot tub were nice! We did not visit the bowling area. Room had ac, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner and lotion, frig, coffee maker. The restaurant next door “Elements” had excellent food and gave us a discount.

Fabulous Lake Views

The hotel is a bit dated on the exterior and could use a good gardening service to spruce it up and minor maintenance, but once inside my room (the Deluxe One Bedroom Suite), I was sold on this place!! The suite was massive and overlooking beautiful Lake Tahoe—what a view! The bed was firm but comfortable and the pillows were heavenly! The bathroom was very large with a secondary area with large vanity and sink for another person. Massive closet space and a large kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals. The dining and living area were also very spacious and the lighting and decor very nice. The hot tubs and pool were a wonderful beginning and end to each day. I highly recommend the Hotel Azure and will definitely be staying here again, soon!

I have stayed at this property several times in the past even when it was Inn by the Lake. Location is wonderful, right across the street from lake/beach with great walking path in trees or beach. That being said, the gentlman sitting behind the desk at check in didnt know much about anything especially when I asked about chairs by pool which is heated and OPEN. He just shrugged and said he didnt know so I couldnt enjoy this amenity. There is no safe in the room only at front desk which means any time I wanted to go out anywhere anything I would normally lock up in my room, I had to schlep to front desk to drop off and retrieve. So someone else is "watcing" my stuff as opposed to me just being able to lock it up in my room with only me having combination. I think they need to tweak a few things but overall it is a nice place to stay.
