Great little find, made even better by it’s staff

The hotel is in just on the edge of Chinatown, in theatre land. Fabulous place to stay. It’s just seconds from the light railway and a great place to be based if you like to walk to the Harbours. It relatively new so everything is in great condition, although with the care and attention shown by its whole team I think it will stay that way. Rooms are a really good size, mine had an enormous, comfortable bed; as are the bathrooms and showers. And the decor is boutique and tasteful. They have a great policy of rewarding you ten dollars a night of restaurant vouchers if you don’t use the daily housekeeping (I never use it every day anyway, for environmental reasons). And when there was a mix up one day over my housekeeping they were straight on it and dealt with it superbly. they are also part of the One Key VIP programme. I did eat in the restaurant one evening before going out early - it’s ’light bites’ - and the quality of the squid was really good . I’ve not included room photos as they are exactly as the website shows them (which is definitely not always the case). Fabulous value for money in such a major City. Well done guys

Had a great experience at Capitol hotel. Super clean and newly renovated. Staff and service was fantastic.

Room was clean but small, no storage space. 3 of us staying, but we're consistently left 2 bath towels & face clothes. Beds were not made tidily. Unfortunately our bag of dirty clothes was removed and disposed of by the house keeping staff. Although the issue was resolved by he helpful front desk staff and we were reimbursed, with breakfast thrown in.

Clean, comfortable, a good night's sleep.

One thing I did notice was that there was no gluten free option obvious at breakfast. On enquiry, staff was able to provide a sachet of GF cereal. This was the only thing which was not spot-on during our stay, everything else was great.

Great location

Fabulous location, central to a great part of Sydney with the light rail on your doorstep. Only downside to our stay is the lack of storage in our room. No cupboard to hang clothes, just 3 hooks on the wall. Staff are great and location fantastic.

We were going to Capital Theatre so fantastic location for that. (Next to). Centre of Haymarket , China town district. Public transport on the doorstep as are lots of eating options. Walking distance to major tourist areas. Modern rooms a little on the small side & no free to air regular TV. All other TV options available.

Excellent location, you can walk to almost all of Sydney’s tourist attraction from the hotel. If you get tired of walking the light rail is just a few steps away from the hotel. Also close to central train station. A lot of asian food around the area(Chinatown). Close to shopping malls. Overall I enjoyed my stay at The Capitol Hotel and thank you for allowing me to check-in early.

Very close to the capital theatre, china town and the southern end of darling harbour. our only issue was that the room we occupied room 306 the toilet was obstructed by a small part of a wall and you couldn't sit square onto the toiler

Nice place but paid a premium (5x standard rate) on NYE for a room and no bar of dinner facilities open. Meal voucher or bottle of wine would have gone a long way. Entrance is weird and smells awful, not very inviting.

Fantastic hotel right in the middle of the city! I was extremely happy staying here and could pop outside at any time and I’d have a plethora of food options! Highly recommended if you want a well priced conveniently located hotel in the CBD! The rooms were beautiful too!

Capital Hotel

It was the first time staying at the Capital Hotel. I found the accommodation was very well suited. Tram stop just outside and in the inhouse amenities were fine. We had brekky in tbe Hotel which offered a good selection
