3 female friends travelled to Syd to see Jesus Christ Superstar at The Capitol. 3single beds in superior suite. I have stayed at Metro Marlow prob more then a doz times and recomend it very often to others. The proximity to everthing is wonderful, even better now light rail stop a 1 minute walk away. Aghast on waking to find one of my guest with head in hands and sitting on a chair very distressed. She had thrown the doona/sheets back to check she hadnt left anything behind. I have no words.....the doona was so badly stained and in several places which suggests it had repeatedly been ignored. Never again would we stay there...absolutely sickening. My guest reported it to "someone" when we collected our luggage after having breakfast. ( no, we certainly did not eat at the establishment) As i havnt recieved an email acknowledging the situ in any way im not confident its been reported let alone addressed.

Hotel was great value as the location was excellent and size of room was reasonable. The rooms were a bit old and tired but had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.

A/C was broken and the heat was unbearable. Wifi only worked outside of our room in common area. Hotel didnt offer anything in exchange we eventually convinced them to offer us breakfast. Location is cool but would not recommend otherwise.

Out dated rooms, they need a refurbishment and good clean. Would not stay again. For the price of other hotels in the same area and cost with nicer rooms, aircon that works and no 80's bathshower with dirty shower curtins. Not 4 star stay.

Internet wifi is almost non existent. It is difficult to connect due to limited bandwith, 200 users for 30 avail connects. So after 1 minute of connection, internet disconnects and you have to sign in again. Even a two star hotel in third world nation like Vietnam has better internet service than Metro hotel in Sydney.

The only good thing about the hotel was the location. Air con not working, very poor for all guests and everyone is complaining. You cannot even sit on the toilet as there is nowhere to put your leg. No warnings given about bathroom. Disgusting.

The location is great, close to tram stops to Darling Harbour and Circular Quay, buses, and the train to the airport. Staff were welcoming and helpful and it was a lovely treat to receive a bottle of wine and chocolates for NYE. The room was okay but the aircon was pathetic so it was very hot in the room. The hotel is overpriced given than the room and bathroom were dated with a mouldy shower curtain and stains on the bedding. However, it was NYE and a very great location for public transport.

It would have been a great stayover and convenient to everything but its lack of sound proofing made it an almost sleepless night ! Also the door is not sound proofed so drunks coming past your door waking you was not on.

Had to change rooms, carpet wet and room smelled damp, and black poured out of taps in shower/bath. Staff said it wasn't mould but grease. Second room stunk of mold and B.O. Both rooms were 8th floor.
