Fantastic option in Sydney

Amazing decor, service, wonderful comfy room and great bathroom. Pool on the roof a bonus. Sweets in the lobby were eaten :)

Our second stay here and we will keep coming back. Located in a great part of the city close to central station. Room is spacious and modern and the Old Clare located connected to the hotel is a great place to kick off your evenings.

My wife and I stayed at the Old Calre last year for our wedding anniversary and we enjoyed it so much we thought we would come back again. Unfortunately we thought the hotel had slipped somewhat - even walking into the lobby to check in in there was a noticeable difference. The staff seemed indifferent mostly - not rude - but not doing anything to show they really cared. The room was clean and we love the set up, but the mattress was very soft, far too much so. The pool was lovely, though even there the little things like tiles missing and an over all run down look was disappointing. Plus the roof top bar closed so early at 8pm. Sorry to say but we will consider other options next year.

Yes its a beautiful old building in the heart of Sydney. However after 9pm arriving late friday night limited food and not 24hr in room dining, no staff to help unload or get to your room, its help yourself, staff could do with customer training, Parking miles away and hard to understand directions from 1 counter staff member. Cant open the windows.
