This hotel is in a great location and for the price, it’s great value. Upon checkin, the staff were exceptional and it was a fun experience. The 2 free drinks really were a plus in my opinion. This hotel is very lucky to have the 2 staff members that checked me in. However, what lets this hotel down in my opinion was; 1. the train line next to the property. I stayed in a Harbour Bridge view room on level 1 and the room shook and rattled from every passing train. 2. The car parking situation. Arrived at 6pm to the car park full sign. While you do have access to the parking station around the corner, I found this a bit inconvenient. And 3. The restaurant. I was advised this would be closing on a Saturday night at 845pm. No room service option available. Uber eats to the rescue for those staying here. All in all this hotel is still a solid experience. 7/10 but would be lower if not for the exceptional staff.

Property is a little dated, but the views, location, convenience and friendliness of staff more than makes up for it. We very much enjoyed our stay and will be returning for a couple of nights prior to flying home.

Great views and great location to trains into city. Room clean and comfortable. Would love it if mini bars added skim or light milk for tea as we don’t all drink full cream anymore! Coffee at breakfast was not hot from the machine and again only full cream. Maybe add barista options for coffee and if you have a tea you want boiling water not hot water from a flask!

Rooms are old but the views were really good!. Air conditioning could be lowered to what you want which is great for awful summer days. Staff were friendly and there were options for dining and room service. Parking was very limited and there are no guarantee you will get one. Location is very close to public transport which was great.

All about the view

We had a three night stay at View Sydney and were most impressed with the outstanding view of the Sydney Harbour. The room was nice and clean and the breakfasts were excellent. There was easy access to the harbour by water taxi or train, all of which were close to the hotel.

We stayed in the Harbour Bridge King Room on Level 6 on a Sunday evening, just the one night. It was a low rate compared to other nights of the week. I had read a few reviews and went in with an open mind. The view is spectacular at night and in the morning. We woke up to a blue sky and enjoyed the sunrise - this is what we came for and the sunny weather made it special. Only downside is that the hotel is built over Nth Sydney railway station and there is a rumble as the trains go through. The trains don’t run between midnight and 5am though. However, given the room rate and the view, the rail noise is the price you pay. I would still happily stay here again. Higher floors would likely help with the rail noise.
