Staff members were courteous. Room maintenance was good overall, but there was months of accumulated dust on the phone jack behind the headboard. Room was spacious, but pretty basic except the bathroom, which was well designed. Breakfast buffet offered very few Western options. 4-star rating can be attributed to the hotel’s excellent location, but is clearly not based on furnishings and amenities.

Breakfast is exceeding my expectations. Menus change every day for our 5 nights stay. A lot of variety for bread and dessert, enough fruit and vegetables. Laundry is convenient. Staffs are helpful, especially excellent service for the breakfast lady, she works hard and provides excellent service. The room we stayed is not that clean and dated. Actually the hotel needs renovation, location is excellent and convenient. Overall this hotel is pretty nice

This hotel is very central to everything you would want in Taipei: quite a gem really. We used the subway system extensively, which is only minutes away. Plenty of nice small eating places nearby. Our room was huge: in-room amenities great, staff always a great help and the shower was especially fantastic. Nothing negative to report. Would we stay again: definitely & especially at the fantastic 7-night rate we got through Expedia. Easy to get around & the locals were very friendly. This was our first time in Taipei/Taiwan: super stay, especially the food: lots of it and cheap. We are happy to do this honest review as we are a married couple, over 65, fit and know how important these reviews are to us and our fellow travellers. Thanks for your time, ALGreynomads.
