Splendid Hotel was a great place to stay to visit Taormina. Very central location and comfortable room. The only improvement I suggest is to use less scents in the public spaces; the lobby and hallways were often heavily perfumed which can be an irritant for people.

I can’t wait to come back and stay at Splendid!

I am a solo female traveler and it was my first time to Siciiy and Taormina. My stay was absolutely wonderful. This hotel is in the best location, so safe for a solo woman, and that breakfast was best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. I will be staying here everytime I come to Taormina. Staff was the best!

Great staff and service. It would be awesome if the hotel did not allow guests to smoke outside their balcony. The balconies are close to each other and you can only imagine how annoying it will be to breathe in that smoke as you are trying to enjoy your beautiful view of the ocean. Sadly, some tourists are not courteous.

Great location

Great view. It was possible to park in the big public parking garage and walk up the stairs in the back of the garage up to the hotel (if you are in shape, otherwise take the free bus). We found this useful. Also everything you want to see and do in Taormina is easy to walk to from this location.

We asked to be upgraded to a better room, for extra. No Hotels.com upgrade benefits here. We were happy with the new room size and view. These are old buildings and we understand the challenges. The one person that made our stay perfect was Dario, at the hotel restaurant. Our dinners and breakfasts were perfect thanks to him. His customer service skills were outstanding. The food was excellent. I found parking fees over priced, but oh well.

The property was fine. The staff were great and very helpful. The location was great. The rooms didn't offer much and could use some TLC on some small items. The balcony on the sea view room we stayed in was quite small. View was great. Would I stay here again? Maybe, if the price was more reflective of the value...I thought it was overpriced, but it is Taormina.
