Room was nice, clean and comfortable. Staff was amazing. My son left his school tablet in the nightstand and of course didn’t realize until we got home. They were so nice when I called. Got it located, held it at the desk and then said they could send it to me to save me the 3 hour trip back to get it then 3 hours back home! Coming back in town over the summer and will for sure be staying again!

I stayed here over the weekend. As my first time in Toronto, I liked the convenience of this hotel. We were within walking distance to convenience stores and even dundas square. Now the exterior could definitely use some work or some renovating. Surprisingly the rooms were not bad. The bathroom was updated and stocked with body wash. Also the express bar near checkout was nice. Being downtown, you could hear a lot of noise from the rooms facing the street.

The good things were that the staff was very nice and helpful. Hotel and rooms were clean. The breakfast was good but very limited, location was farther than expected from the places we wanted to go, parking location isn't explained well and showers are terrible.

First impressions mean a lot to me and my initial interaction upon checking in was horrible from the staff. The employee did not greet me properly, just asked for my ID. A rude interaction from the start but I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. As she was checking me in, this employee was looking over to the other guests that were checking in instead of interacting with me. I also had the breakfast included in my stay and she did not give me the vouchers that I had paid for nor did she tell me that I needed the vouchers for breakfast. She didn’t explain anything to me such as location of the gym, pool, or what time the restaurants close. After checking me in, she immediately walks away without saying a word. I was left there wondering was the process finished. She comes from the back and I ask, “is that it?”. She says yes but she was very rude and unprofessional. I had another interaction with another employee the next day and she was very helpful and professional. My checking in process was horrible.

Good hotel at the price point and convenience in Toronto. Can be quite noisy at night but not surprising given the proximity to bars, late night foot traffic, etc. Not the worst area I’ve stayed in but certainly some issues with unhoused people, people struggling with mental health issues in the area, but nothing that made me feel particularly unsafe. Room is fairly bare bones, shower struggled to get hot water going. But more than fine for a night or two, and the bed was super comfy, room was very clean, staff were lovely, indoor common areas are bright and modern, and even the outdoor noise settled down late at night (plus I’m an earplug-user when I sleep during travel anyway).
