I’ve been coming to Knightsbrook for 10 years and don’t think I’ll be returning after this stay. The food in the terrace lounge was abysmal. We were served “pork belly bites” that were just scraps of meat and lukewarm, tough, chewy steak. The table next to us ordered the same and sent it back. We went to the bar afterwards for a drink but it was freezing cold and we couldn’t stay for long. The staff are very young and not very well trained. An unfortunate decline for a once lovely hotel.

Hotel is beautiful. Set in nice surroundings and not far from Dublin at all. Only a couple of things I would point out. We booked the hotel almost 3 weeks ahead for a 1 night stay. Received no correspondence prior to our arrival to book a time for breakfast and when we checked in (1 hr early) There was only 1 slot free for breakfast the next morning at 8am as all other slots had been booked up. Also no prior notice that slots had to be booked for use of pool etc. I think all hotels should have an automatic response when a booking comes through to advise future guests of new post Covid19 policies. Ended up ordering breakfast to the room. Would stay again at the right price.

Excellent hotel and good food. My only fault was the room which was acceptable but not the one I booked. I had a choice of a room with a king sized bed or a double bed and a single bed. I opted for the king sized but got the double and single

We stayed in the houses on the hotel grounds. Very clean. Kitchen fully equipped. Bedrooms spacious. Free use of hotel pool.
