It’s not the Ritz but a decent place for a short stay, especially if you’re traveling with a pet. Older facility but updated within the last few years. Some highway noise. Wifi needs improvement, kept losing the connection every 10-15 minutes. Breakfast was ok but only if you’re a fan of oatmeal, little else offered. I picked this motel because of the 9.2 “exceptional” rating. It is over rated imho.

We would definitely stay here again! Great vintage ambiance. Lots of entertainment- heated pool, board games, artwork, bar, gym, pinball games! Good for families and those without. Close access to the interstate, but we didn’t have much noise from it. The property feels like you are driving into a little haven of stepping back in time with the fun decor. Having bunk beds for our kids was awesome!

McCoy is a unique place to stay. It is clean, the beds are comfy, and the staff is patient and helpful. The pinball and poptarts left me very nostalgic 💜 Coffee needs improvement. Look forward to staying there again.

The price was right for this motel. There was a little kitchen in the room. Everything was clean except the floor. They must sweep but never mop it as our feet got dirty walking around barefoot. The pool area was nice. There was not much in the way of breakfast - basically oatmeal and toast. It was close to the freeway so you had that noise all night.

The beds are in horrible shape. Mattress is caved in the frames are broken and make loud noise with every little movement. The sheets gave rash after sleeping. The rooms are extremely hot from the small ac unit the have.

The previous reviews are not wrong. What a gem of a place. Forget those big fancy resorts or chain after chain hotel. Take a step back into what roadside hotels used to be. But elevated! Time spent connecting with family at the bar. Ability to grab a table and a board game before heading out for dinner. The heated pool was amazing considering it was only 50 degrees outside. Kids loved seeing the steam off their heads. Kids also were excited for bunk beds in the room. The service was very friendly and accommodating. I will be talking about this stay and recommending to anyone traveling to Tucson.

We booked this hotel based on a 9.4 exceptional rating on expedia. Pictures online were focused on specific areas and didn't give a whole picture of what to expect, so of course, we chose the one with the highest rating. Not sure who rates these? In our opinion, this is more of an average motel/cabin style. We adjusted our thinking and learned to enjoy our stay. The lady at check in was delightful, the guy the first 3 mornings seemed miserable and didn't really respond when spoken to or thanked. The bathroom is very small. The sink area is nice. We were informed that housekeeping is not automatic and on a request basis, yet they have envelopes on the desk in room for tips for housekeeping. The air conditioning did not cool the room enough, even when following instructions. It advertised that breakfast was included only to discover it consisted of oatmeal, toast ,pop tarts, coffee and water. The only things we found great were the extremely warm pool and that the doors didn't need keys, just codes.. We set our minds to enjoy the Tucson experience, but wouldn't stay here again and feel the '9.4 exceptional' rating is inaccurate.and misleading. A hotel that advertises breakfast included, usually is attractive as saves money on a trip, especially for extended stays, so the very kiddie oriented breakfast was a disappointment.We were disappointed from the first night, wished we could have changed hotels, but as we booked as a flight, hotel, car package, we weren't able to.

This motel has a lot of character, lots of opportunities for guests to interact. But if you just want a good night’s sleep this is not the place for you. The bed wasn’t very comfortable, too much light in the room, sirens from ambulances can be heard throughout the night (nothing the hotel can do about this). The towels and tub in the bathroom looked stained, there was a hair in the bathtub, and someone’s leftover drink was in the refrigerator. The next morning the housekeeper tried to enter my room as I was just getting out of the shower. Fortunately I had the latch on, or she would have gotten an eyefull. The hotel gave me a credit for this inconvenience, but housekeeping here needs a lot of improvement.
