The shuttle was a little slower than the 30 minutes but there is a phone to let them know you are waiting. Driver was great, check in was great. There are two restaurants in the same building. We had dinner at Happy Hong Cong (great food) and free continental breakfast at the Bund (good). Very comfortable bed.

Located across from Costco so if you have a membership, you can get your cheap snacks! The hotel room is big but so extremely outdated. Walls are dark, lightbulbs are not bright, windows outside the rooms are filthy and could use a cleaning. Carpet all over the hotel is just old and not nice-looking. Small garbage in the lobby always overflowing. Shuttle and driver were excellent. Super close to the airport. 5 minute walk from Bridgeport Station so you can take the sky train to downtown for $6 and it only takes about 15-20 minutes to get to Vancouver City Centre. Hotel is walking distance to McDonald’s and IKEA is about 35 minute walk. Richmond Nature Park is about. 40 minute walk away and has lots of hummingbirds. BC public transit is excellent and there are bus stops everywhere. Hotel beds are comfortable, pillows are not. No mattress topper on the beds. You sleep on a thin sheet directly on the mattress and for some reason, that just grossed me out. I wore sandals the entire time in the room and my bare feet did not touch the carpet. The water cooler in the fitness area is absolutely filthy and doesn’t look like it’s ever been cleaned. Included breakfast is continental…not eggs. Lots of variety if you like carbs but they do have yogurt and instant oatmeal. It was a long 2 days but it’s fine when you’re on a budget. I wouldn’t stay there again though.

Room was large. Clean hotel but it was advertised as having two restaurants but there are two restaurants next door. Included breakfast was okay but the restaurants were not our taste. Not much within walking distance and on a fairly busy street. Great service from staff. Room had damage that I documented and showed them. Tub was gross and didn’t even want to take a shower in it.

Mold in the shower and bathroom. Reception desk area was very dusty. Dust was visible from the customer side of the desk. Day of our arrival, there was a dried spill on the elevator floor, it was still there on the day of my departure. there was visible dust on the fixtures leading from the reception desk to the elevator.

Discovered the bed sheet had been placed sideways such that the mattress was not covered 18 inches from the foot of the bed and 6 inches from the head of the bed - how does service make the bed and not notice that?? Air conditioner was very loud and noticeably increased in loudness as vibrations increased the longer it was on then would suddenly shut off presumably as the temperature dropped but it was so abrupt that it kept waking us up throughout the night. Our door card unlock system seemed wonky requiring a multitude of tries to try to get it to unlock. We had 3 cards but that didn’t seem to matter at all. It was a little frustrating. Certainly the stained hallway carpets set your expectations low unfortunately and the hotel could use some work.

Older hotel that could use some updating. Over all it was clean and comfortable and the price compared to the surrounding hotels was very good. The free breakfast was continental. The staff was friendly and helpful and the transit station to get to downtown Vancouver was only about a 5-10 walk.

The hotel is not very near the airport and their shuttle is not well marked. The shuttle is used for more than one hotel and the other hotel's name is in big letters and Abercorn is very small. I waited 2 hours at.the airport before I figured it out in time to just miss the shuttle. I ended up taking a taxi for about.$25. Breakfast was in a resaurant a few doors away with a very limited tasteless menu eaten with flimsy wooden utensils. Holiday Inn Express is across the street and has very frequent well marked shuttles to and from the airport.
