Nice little boutique place to stay, staff very friendly and helpful. The area of the hotel is a little shady with many undesirables around. Never felt unsafe but had to be guarded when walking. Restaurants were 20-30 mins by walking. We took Uber’s everywhere.

Overall good condition. Unique and antique while preserving local culture. God staff and friendly. Water pressure sauna and patio were only concerns. Located near Hasting street. Do your research in advance.

TV did not work. Front desk had no idea how to fix, called the manager who had no idea how to fix and had no one available to fix. Plus the hotel is in a bad part of town. Two blocks from Chinatown where there are a few restaurants but you have to walk past several homeless people living on the street.

Loved the uniqueness of this hotel with the First Nations art throughout and featured artists in gallery on 1st floor. Convenient location to walk everywhere. Spacious double beds room. Included breakfast is very basic. Front desk staff very helpful including restaurant recommendation in Chinatown that we enjoyed. Would stay here again.

Positives - staff extremely helpful. Really comfy bed, pillows etc. Bathroom spotlessly clean, lovely bathrobes. Negatives - breakfast poor. Only cereal was porridge, only drink was coffee, no toast. So it was croissant or muffins and an apple. No vending machine to get a drink or snack. Also the area of the hotel is inundated with homeless people the majority seemingly under the influence which made it very unpleasant to walk anywhere.
This was the view from our room of the apartment block next door.

Unique Hotel, enjoyed immensely!

Check in was quick & even though we were very early, they stored our luggage so we could sightsee & have lunch. Each room was decorated differently & unique! The hotel was an easy walk to “Chinatown”, Steam Clock or Hop on & off bus & Several restaurants

This hotel was very beautiful and the staff was amazing. They took our luggage very early when we got off the ship. They guided us to where to book excursions and how to navigate my phone! BUT this hotel is in an area where there are many people on drugs. When we came back at the end of our day. There was a person bent over on drugs 15 feet from us. The hotel has to keep their doors locked because of this. I had to call the hotel info line. It was very frightening to us. (We are from California) The hotel staff immediately came to open the door. Our luggage was already in our room. I would recommend this hotel but be aware it is in a terrible area. Staff even warned us about which streets in the evening to avoid.

I loved this hotel. It was a real surprise, given some of the things we had seen on the way to it. Part indigenous art gallery, part hotel, withe a philosophy that supports the first nations population. We were welcomed by Scarlet, who toĺd us about the hotel and some popular restaurants. Our room was on the top floor and was attractively decorated with indigenous art, and was comfortably furnished. The en-suite was supplied with some pleasant herbal toiletries. We hadn't expected breakfast, but the hotel provided a light buffet anyway. We took the advice of our host and went to "The Old Spaghetti Factory" for dinner and had a great time. One piece of advice for unsuspecting travellers I wold give is; When leaving the hotel, don't turn left towards Main St. Turn right, then right down Abbot St. This will take you to Gastown, which is a lot nicer experience.

Too many stairs!

Very clean. 6 blocks from the skytrain if you're walking. Our room had 14 stairs to climb up (with your luggage) when we were told "some rooms have a few stairs in them". We are 73 YO and walk with a cane. Not good. Otherwise, nice hotel.
