This place is worth every penny. So convenient from the train station. Be sure to ask them for shuttle service. It’s free from the train station. Then you don’t have to carry your luggage for 15 mins up and down the cobbled streets. The property is the most gorgeous lakeside view. Everywhere you look it’s beautiful here. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. I can’t recommend this place enough.

To start, just walking thru the village in Varenna was amazing! Then we got to the piazza that was all lit up with twinkling lights on every tree. The Hotel Royal Victoria didn’t disappoint. The staff was warm and friendly and our room was absolutely beautiful! There was a hand written note and treats waiting for us. The view of Lake Como was incredible. The room was clean and we enjoyed a wonderful nights sleep in the comfortable bed. The breakfast spread and view from every table was a bonus. We hope to return again someday!

The hotel and staff were lovely. Situated in very convenient spot to explore Varenna and the surrounding area. Our room had a lovely view of the city and church. The breakfast buffet has a nice variety of options for all. Your stay includes access to the sister hotel properties and botanical garden! I would stay here again the next time we visit Lake Como.
