Venice break

The location of the hotel was good. However our first experience of the room was shocking when we found the light in the room was flickering and making noise. The hotel porter changed the bulb which was then working fine. Within minutes we found the toilet seat had dried toilet deposits on top as well as the underside. At first I thought it was a chipped seat only to find with a wet tissue that it was dried deposit. Upon complaining to the concierge, he sent a cleaner to the room to clean the toilet with bleach. The bath tub had a shower head but nowhere to hang the shower head as the holder was broken/missing. The towels were not arranged properly and looked as if they were not changed. We requested the towels to be changed, which the hotel fulfilled. There was no tea making facility in the room and there was a TV but no remote control although we hardly had time to watch any TV. Beds and pillows were not most comfortable especially for people with bad backs and Breakfast was average with no fresh fruits or eggs. The staff were generally ok.

La FENICE

Really comfortable - very friendly. Staff must have read my wife's birthday on the passport and not only wished her happy birthday in the morning, but later on delivered a bottle of Prosecco. Location excellent, facilities limited, but perfect for San Marco and the opera house

Great Location

Quirky, but very clean. Staff very helpful and cheerful. Breakfast much better than I expected. All in all very good value for money and would recommend it to anyone going to Venice.

couple

Besides the breakfast it is very good hotel to stay while visiting Venice. Staff is grate. Regarding the breakfast: no eggs, of any kind, no vegetables at all. Nothing warm besides the coffee. The coffee excellent. It is defiantly not 4 stars hotel, 3 will be more suitable.

Great location- Poor breakfast

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in May 2012. It's very well located being 5 mins from St Marks Square and 5 mins from the vaporetto stop of St Angelo. The hotel is clean and rooms nice with good bathrooms. Bed was a bit hard. Staff very helpful except on the last day when we asked for morning coffee prior to a 6.30 am departure. It never materialised!. The breakfast was pretty poor with no hot food or even a toaster and no fruit. It wouldn't take much to make it a lot better. Overall a nice hotel in an excellent location

Ein ganz wunderbares venezianisches Hotel. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Und die Lage ist perfekt, man ist schnell bei den Veporettostationen und auch zu Fuss kommt man überall hin.
