The property could use a refresher for their lounge cushions and customer service for drinks and towels by the family pool are not amazing and understaffed. Food overall is good though. The property is well kept but the pools could use a refresher in terms of stained stones ect. And the gravel on one side to the pool with lounge chairs isn’t awesome. Kids club is nice but they could come up for more diversity for outdoor activities ect Overall a good experience

Dangerous, moldy place

Terrible experience. First time we were at this hotel two years ago, and I have no idea what happened, because it was 10/10. Seems nobody watched this hotel all this time. First, we got a room in the main building at the first floor. I was sure it’s a technical floor (because it looked like). Small window next to the loud conditioner. Dirty. We left immediately. Then we got the room at the second floor, and were too tired to come back to the reception again. At least we had two small windows. This room was prepared for another family, with the welcome card to another name and with the extra bed. Bathroom wasn’t clean and even vanity set was opened (and was never refreshed). Dirty carpet, mold… Sun-beds near the pool are black because of mold. All of them! We asked to cancel our stay and a full refund, because of allergies. But nobody even say “sorry” or try to fix the problem. Nothing! It’s 2* motel, don’t waste your time and money.

Rooms were not maintained well. Not as clean as you would expect with the rating. Also was disappointed on the excessive fees. It was over $100 euros to play paddle with my kids for 1.5 hours on the property courts.

Compared to 4 boutique hotels we stayed at during our Italy vacation, this stay at the JW Marriott was by far the worst. Dated rooms, stained carpets, lacklustre room cleaning (shower had mildew and the sinks were never cleaned), terrible dining options (food felt like we were at a sub par all inclusive resort rather than in Italy), the concierge seemed to be trained to upsell everything so that you pay insane prices for taxis or excursions when you could easily take the free water shuttle and find incredibly lower prices at the local water taxi stand. The only saving grace is that staying at this property gets you away from the densely populated tourists on Venice island and you have a pool. Would not stay here again.

The property is unique in that it occupies a total island; however, the building needs to be electrically updated to accommodate new IPhones and other devices. Amazing property and service.

The property is simply amazing! The rooms are spacious with vaulted ceilings and very nice bathrooms—with super good water pressure. We also loved the spiral staircase around the elevator with windows that had views of the property. It’s a nice way to get a little bit of exercise. The free breakfast had every breakfast option imaginable.

Had we known the resort was closing within days of our stay we would NEVER had booked this place . Pictures were deceiving. When we chexhed in the reception should have made us aware and been more transparent that the resort was closing downs in a few days . Only one restaurant one open , no shops were open , spa was closed , food became More and more limited during our three night stay . We paid to have and use ALL these services but couldn’t since resort was shutting down , very very very disappointing to say the least . Why would I have spend $1700 Eu there for NO services ????? I could Have been somewhere where I had more than one option to eat and a spa to enjoy . Sadly BUT I don’t see It happening a full refund would have been the proper thing etiquettely to do BUT don’t foresee that happening 😟 So NO NOT recommended At the moment !!!!! The staff is very welcoming and provided everything needed. The island is lovely. Once they heated the rooftop pool it was good. The food is delicious, many breakfast choices try the pimodoro upstairs or the ravioli in room . There is a water taxi charge if using other hours than shuttle times but easy to arrange or wait for free shuttle times. Highly recommend for the James Bond Italy feel of arrival a water taxi. Enjoyed how kind and friendly everyone on the island is to guests.
