The owner and staff were kind and helpful, the breakfast was plentiful and varied, and the location was convenient without being loud. The only possible complaints are that the bed was certainly on the firm side, the flow rate of the shower was low (eco-friendly and efficient), and the WiFi was a bit spotty. Otherwise, we a fantastic and easy stay. Thank you, Luca!

Clean room friendly staff and great location…. But, we arrived late, from our flight in, and after we got to the hotel the lobby door is locked, luckily someone was leaving as we got there so we were able to get in and grab our keys. Room was clean but the bed was terrible, it was also loud in the streets at night. Everything in the bathroom leaked, shower, toilet, bidet, shower head literally came unattached from the hose. WiFi didn’t work, ac didn’t work, no elevator, no tv in the room. We didn’t mind these things that much, but just beware.

Excellent location, clean and easy to find.The staff were knowledgeable and helpful. Not suitable for people with reduced mobility as the rooms are located up flights of stairs with no lifts. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We booked our stay at Locando ai Bareteri due to it's location within Venice i.e. close to both Piazza San Marco and the Rialto Bridge, and competitive price it offered. We were not disappointed at all with our choice. We had two separate communications in the weeks leading up to our holiday, (queries about the hotel), and on both occasions received responses from hotel answering our queries. This in itself gave us a good feeling about Locando ai Bareteri before we had even arrived. The hotel itself was easy to get to, approximately 3 minutes on foot from the Alilaguna Vaporetto (water bus) stop at Rialto Bridge, and we were given a very warm welcome by Luca on our arrival. Our room was lovely, and importantly very clean. It had a large comfortable king size bed, as well as sofa and fridge. The bathroom had shower, bidet and sink. The only thing that the bedroom did not have, which we typically enjoy, was a kettle for making coffee/tea, but given we were 2 minutes walk from numerous restaurants and cafes, this was much less inconvenient than what it may have been elsewhere. It is worth mentioning that breakfast was on offer to us at Locando ai Bareteri (even being delivered to our room), we had decided we wanted to have breakfast in some of the numerous cafes close by as part of our Venice experience. We can definitely recommend Locando ai Bareteri to visitors to Venice. Positives include, location, cleanliness, helpfulness of staff and competive pricing. No negatives.

We stayed 2 nights, First night we had air-condition. Second night (final night) no air-conditioning. Could not get a hold of staff although they said they were reachable 24/7. Staff responded 2 days later advising they were at the bank. They knew we were leaving in the morning and didn't provide the air-condition and there was nothing we could do. once they have your money they stop responding. Be wary

The pictures were very misleading. Our room was very bare and the building shown in the main picture on Expedia website was definitely not the actual hotel. The hotel was in the middle of the street, but the picture showed what looked like a restaurant at the end of a building.

Great location, nice property. The only difficulties were 1. the stairs, we were on the top floor and no elevator, so it was almost 100 steps. 2. The water pressure of the sink and shower was very low. As far as the location, it was great, the host was amazing. Very easy to walk anywhere.

The hotel was very clean and felt very safe. Great location and very close to the Rialto Bridge. Staff was great and very kind, even suggested a waterboat to get to the airport which was a much cheaper option to a water taxi.

This property was so amazing! For our first trip to Venice, it was such an amazing taste of the ‘old world’. Luca was so kind and a great host, sending emails before giving us such specific directions that there was no way we could get lost in the maze of Venice. He also gave us all of the options, private taxi, water bus and trains to get from the airport to the hotel. The hotel is centrally located and so convenient, literally four minutes from the Rialto Bridge. Luca was also very helpful in planning our departure from Venice. 100% would recommend.

Well to getting is complicated with self checking, we get a room in the 4 store is NO elevators, other thing is No TV in rooms and last thing water in the shower was cutting off so often and we have to open and closings valves. In general place is in good shape If you can live we all thats location is great 3 minutus from san marcos squares

This is a great location, 2-5 min walk to all the major attractions. Rooms are good. You have to be able to carry your luggage up some steep stairs. Our main complaint is that we were not made aware that this is a self-check-in hotel. We arrived during the check-in window hours, but the door was locked, no one answered the buzzer or phone and we had to wait 20 mins for another guest to leave and unlock the door for us. And then your keys are just sitting on the desk. The guests who let us in, stated that they had to wait 2 hours the day before. Be aware, but the location is excellent.
