This is one of the most unique properties on Martha's Vineyard. Located directly on the bustling Vineyard Haven harbor & right across the street from the famous Black Dog Tavern, this cottage offers a truly immersive waterfront Vineyard experience - right in the thick of everything. Everything you could need - from public transportation, to groceries, to restaurants, beaches and so much more - is literally just steps outside the front door. The house was just remodeled and outfitted with all new furniture and appliances. The house is comprised of a fully equipped kitchen, living room, small dining area, 2 outdoor decks, 2nd floor master bedroom with full bath, and a downstairs 1/2 bath. Off-street parking for up to 2 vehicles - which is like GOLD in that area! If you’re arriving by way of your own boat, dock space can be reserved in advance at The Black Dog Wharf, Vineyard Haven Marina and Tisbury Wharf Company.

This is a superior listing. We just spent three nights (late March) at the cottage and it was extraordinary. We've stayed in a number of accommodations on MV and this was, by far, the best. The cottage is adorable, super clean, nicely outfitted (kitchen is right-sized for the cottage and has everything you'll need). The first night the wind was up a little bit and we could hear the waves gently hitting the shoreline (that's how close you are to the water). Sunrises were amazing. You are right in the mix (Vineyard Haven), steps to restaurants, shops, etc. We loved hearing and watching the ferries come and go. Magical. Mike was super accommodating and a great communicator.

This is a beautiful property located just seconds away from the ferry. The house has an incredible loft area for sleeping, with ample pillows and blankets to adorn the king size bed. The newly updated shower has many amazing features and the kitchen is stocked for easy use. Mike communicated exceptionally with us upon arrival to ensure our stay started well. We would absolutely recommend this beautiful house to any couple traveling for a nice get away! We would easily 100% book again in the future.

A Vineyard Oasis

A true Vineyard oasis! I have been coming to the Vineyard for a few years and this by far was the best house and in the best location. Mike was very accommodating, attentive and the residence was spotless. This was our first time lodging in Vineyard Haven as we’ve only lodged in Oak Bluffs, we’ve found our new home away from home. Fantastic location and beautiful home

Such an incredibly peaceful and beautiful location! Woke up every morning to the most amazing sunrise. Views out every window, wonderful beach, great for swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. The home is perfect! Nothing is missing and it recently redone, is so nicely decorated and very comfortable! The owner was so kind and accommodating. We will definitely be back!!

This amazing home exceeded our expectations. This home is beautiful. Tastefully designed, incredibly well-appointed and every thoughtful amenity included. The location is perfect. Right on the harbor. Walking and biking distance to everything. We will leave the car at home next time. The owner was responsive and provided clear instructions for check in. Perfect Martha’s Vineyard Getaway

Mike was a great host. He communicated very well for the check in and check out process. The house itself is amazing. Perfect for two adults. It is beautifully decorated and appointed well. The location on the harbor could not be better. Close to the Ferry. Plenty to do near by. We did not bring a vehicle and used our bikes to traverse the island.We loved relaxing on the porches and watching all the harbor activity. Every window framed the spectacular view. We can’t wait to return!

Nice long weekend at Martha’s Vineyard

We just came back from a 3 night stay at Martha Vineyard and had an amazing time. The host allowed us to check in a couple hours earlier than checkin time because the house was ready for us and he was accommodating the whole trip if we needed anything. He also gave us several good restaurant suggestions. The house itself is clean and right on the water. The views of the harbor are beautiful. It was a very easy walk from the ferry to get to the house. We did not bring a car on the ferry or rent a car but just used the bikes we rented the whole time. I would suggest if you want to explore the island more and are not very active to bring/rent a car. The home comes with an available space to park.

Another excellent stay

This is our second visit to Mikes' beachfront cottage and we have nothing but great things to say. If you are looking for a place to unwind and relax while taking in the views of the harbor, this is the place for you. All modern amenities are available at your disposal. The bath towels are plush, thick, and high quality. The bed is comfortable, the bedding is soft, and the pillows will have you dreaming in no time. We rented a jeep during our stay and loved the ease of coming and going with our own parking spot. We didn't cook at all because there are so many great restaurants to explore on the island including the one directly next door, The Black Dog Tavern. I highly recommend a stay at this cottage.

I had the pleasure of staying at this property for a few days around Memorial Day. Mike was a wonderful host who welcomed us to the property and checked on me regularly throughout my visit. I had a friend join me for the first night. The pull out couch was easy to use and was perfect for a short stay. The bed in the Master was super comfortable with nice bedding. Extra throws are provided for cooler days and nights. There were plenty of extra linens as well. The shower…AMAZING!! The decor is so thoughtfully done. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and pots and pans if you would like to cook. The two decks were perfect for chatting and watching sunrises and sunsets and throws allow for enjoyment when temps fall. The property is a short walk to the grocery store, the VH ferry terminal and Main St. The Black Dog Tavern is a walk across the road. You do hear the ferry horn. Bring ear plugs if you are late morning or afternoon nap light sleeper. There is some foot traffic around the path along the side and back of the house from people taking photos or walking their dogs but in late May, it was light. Small sacrifices for the amazing water views!! Thank you so much, Mike. I hope to be back again next soon!

A great weekend getaway

The house was amazing, and just as described and shown in pictures. It is a 3 minute walk from the ferry - great to do a car-less trip to Martha's Vineyard - rent bicycles and/or use the bus system. We would certainly stay here again.

The ideal place to stay on Martha's Vineyard

We wanted to go to Martha's Vineyard for a long weekend, and this property was perfect. It's within sight of the ferry terminal; it's across the street from The Black Dog, which was a convenient place to grab breakfast sandwiches from before heading out for the day; it's a short walk to Stop & Shop, which was great to get a few groceries from; it's easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants of Vineyard Haven. The house was AMAZING. It had a private parking space (we brought our car on the ferry, so having a reliable place to park was great); the house was beautifully renovated with absolutely everything we could have needed from sitting spaces, to the kitchen, to an eating space, etc, etc, etc. Both of the decks were great to sit on and watch the ferries come and go. Having the washer and dryer right off the bedroom was handy. The shower was awesome. The entire house was just the right size for us - not too big but also not too small. Before we booked this, we were considering a hotel, but we are SO thankful that we didn't do that, and instead stayed here. It is seriously the best place we could have stayed, and we will absolutely be back.
