Nice hotel close to bay

Pros: Roomy public areas to sit and watch the sea.
Cons: It would have been nice to have more to do in the hotel when weather was wet. A gym would be a great improvement.
Location: There is a small man made sandy beach in Machico and a dive centre. It is also possible to hire sail boards and canoes.
Comfortable and very clean room which we appreciated during a rather stormy week (23rd Feb - 2nd March). The hotel has buffet style food which was good. Staff were friendly and helpful and on the last day which was the warmest we were able at last to lounge by the pool which was large and well maintained.

Amazing views and so close to the sea

Pros: The location and the views
Cons: A bit of improvements and refurbishments won't go amiss.
Location: Close to the beach and close to all the shops and restaurants. You can go buy some beer from the shop and sit at the beach to watch the sunset.
I loved the hotel, at night I would just open my window and listen to the the sea while I go to bed. The hotel was a bit basic and worn out, but for this price and with that location it was amazing.

Relaxing Week away

We booked a Club room to get a balcony and also opted for All inclusive. We have stayed here before so knew what to expect. It was just what we required.

Good value for money hotel

The Dom pedro hotel is conveniently situated at the edge of the charming seaside town of Machico, and is within minutes of the beachfront promenade , beach, bars and restaurants, shops and supermarket, and the lovely old town. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and attentive.The views from the rooms and restaurant are stunning, the breakfast was varied and well presented, we preferred to have our evening meals in the many restaurants in town and enjoyed the company of the locals. This is a good value hotel, situated very conveniently in a lovely beach town . We thoroughly enjoyed this Holliday in this location.

Preis-Leistung ist in Ordnung. Es gibt bessere Unterkünfte, aber das Beste ist die Nähe zum Flughafen.

Das Zimmer lag neben dem Unterhaltungs-Raum und es war jeden Abend bis 23:00 rambazamba. Schlafen unmöglich! Personal für Kantine und Reinigung sehr freundlich. Reception unzuverlässig, haben keine Zeit für Zimmer Probleme! Ansonsten ok

Für uns hat dieses Hotel die besten Zeiten hinter sich. Gesamteindruck ist nicht vier Sterne tauglich. Dame am Empfang sehr mürrisch Das Städtchen Machico muss man unbedingt besuchen, wunderschön, idyllisch
