Cozy. Parking not good.

Hotel was clean and quiet. "On site" parking was a very few spaces, which were filled and we were sent to a nearby parking garage with poorly written instructions/map and inaccurate pricing information. We had difficulty retrieving our car as the garage was closed and reentry was cumbersome. A guy working on the street informed us how to enter (indicating that people are constantly confused). The kitchenette was nice. It's a comfortable stay. Cozy overall.

Hotel needs to update their air conditioning. All corridors were far too hot. Bathroom could not be cooled and no fan to take away steam. No fridge in room, no ice makers on any floor. You had to call for ice to be delivered. Dirty glasses not removed, coffee and tea not replenished. On the whole…needs an update. On the plus side the beds were comfortable and breakfasts were pretty good.

It's very clean and the room has a small kitchen which can be very helpful if you have children or want to take food from an outside restaurant. They also have a nice restaurant inside with excellent breakfast (not very affordable though). The only thing that I really didn't like was the distance to the National Mall. They say 3 blocks to everything but it's not, double it, to go everywhere. So, in my opinion the employees should tell the truth. Another thing is that there isn't ANY restaurant in that area. You have to walk a lot in order to get anything to eat. Also, if you ask for a late check-out they will charge you a full day again even if you need only 2 or 3 more hours. I won't be there again and I won't recommend it to my friends (all above 65 years old)!

The hotel was clean and quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Starbucks down the street! Walk to metro was about 15 minutes. Very nice hotel and would stay there again.

Good location for tourists. Staff very helpful. Each room should have a refrigerator and microwave. Guests should be told ahead of time if their room doesn’t have these important amenities.

State Plaza Hotel is easy to access by public transportation from Regan Airport, walking distance from the Smithsonian Museums, and a nearby grocery store. It's great for families and anyone wanting to take in all the cultural and historic sites in DC without the hassle of driving. The staff is friendly and enthusiastic, the room spotlessly clean and convenient.

Keith in the cafe is one of the hardest working and friendliest bartenders in DC. Even though the cafe was completely full and he was all alone, everyone received top notch service and he never got flustered. Six stars.

Loved our stay in this hotel. The staff was great and it was in a good location to get to wherever you want to go quickly. Also checkout the resturant, the bartender there makes a fantastic old fashioned!
