Check in was disastrous. One of our party was directed to our room with a key when he checked in at 1130PM. I had to go to the lobby in my pajamas to fix. They could not find the reservation because the name had been input as last name then first name, rather than first name and last name. Billing has been ridiculous! I left my card and it has been billed more than 1800, after having already pre-paid for my reservation. I am now holding 13 minutes For someone to explain to me how this was billed. The only people who were pleasant were the door man and valet. The desk staff were appalling. Rude and did not remotely address my issues. We were inDC to collect my deceased stepson's remains. The restaurant was obscenely overpriced with lackluster service. One of the worst hotel stays.

Ended up stuck in Washington DC after a flight cancellation, found The Darcy on short notice. Friendly staff who were happy to offer late checkout and other flexibility since I was unsure when I would be able to get another flight, nice room, very cool decor in the lobby.
