“The property was very sticky on the kitchen floor. The bathroom water was not flushing properly. The beds were very uncomfortable—we could feel the springs in the mattresses. The TV was not working, but after we informed them, it was fixed on the second day. All the cupboards were very dirty.”

Broken glass on pavement outside there premises which apparently had been there for ages and they didn't want to give me a broom and shovel to clean it up. I cleaned it up before someone cut themselves.

Staff member was friendly. Facilities were tidy but not clean, also in need of some serious maintenance. Motel did come up when I searched for free parking but was actually $15 per night. It was okay but we won't be back.

The bed was past its best, no bedside lights. Had to ask for a fan since the windows were locked shut. While using the spa bath, a brown scum residue was present after use (suggests fresh water hasn't been flushed thru the system for a while). No phone in bedroom so had to use my own cellphone to contact reception to request both the fan and a TV remote but had to ring again, 1/2 an hr later due to no response. Receptionist wasn't exactly enthusiastic on at least 3 occasions I went to the front office...general feeling of not really caring about the image of the service they were offering. On a positive note, great location and the room service staff were very friendly. Pity the other aspects of the business let them down. Am unlikely to use it again, sadly.

Stayed a second night but had to change rooms. First room was amazing! Second room (King regular) was awful. There was water on the chair cushions we found out later which was from the bath upstairs leaking through the floor. Carpet was wet, room was damp and musty, lots of mold in the room and bathroom. Do not stay in this room if you have asthma. Found myself struggling to breathe. Lots of deferred maintenance in this room, pick a different one. Tried to get ahold of reception, no one available. Overall the staff was very helpful the day before, location great. Just choose a different room.

Although the check in process was a little strange and I do not agree with having to give my credit card details over the phone, I was very appreciative of the room upgrade, it was very spacious and comfortable, the beds and linens were well-made and spotless. The room smelt freshly cleaned. Although an older building with older furnishings, for what I needed it was perfect. Perhaps a little more care cleaning in the bathroom, specifically the toilet. As I was travelling alone, security and safety was my priority and at first I wasn’t sure of the location but it seemed very secure in the motel rooms. There was an issue around 1am where there were loud voices from men and then what sounded like a vehicle colliding at force with something outside of my room which had me feeling uneasy for sometime after (I was a shaken up and too scared to look out the window to see what was happening, and the remnants of the collision were all over the driveway the next morning) but aside from those few things I had a very comfortable and value for money, stay which was appreciated. The location was fantastic and I would come back again definitely.

It's a cheap motel with parking in the middle of town. Building and facilities are a bit run down, but it was clean and well supplied with towels, kitchen gear, and so on.

Very basic as expected for the price, but cold night as duvet was very light, room smelt damp / musty, and empty reception with hostile answerphone message was a bit scary (no one to help you, good bye) made me think I might have fallen for a trick, so it was a relief to get a person on the line several minutes later and get access to the key.

Dirty, dingy and not a place were going to be staying again. The price reflected the quality so much. Parking was extra and not advised. We selected pay on arrival and they took the funds from my CC before we arrived. The room had so many flaws. Cracked and peeling paint, marks on the walls, rusting and leaking fridge because it was turned right down for the freezer to melt. Hairs on the toilet and in the shower... We slept and left promptly.

Very central - 10 mins walk from Te Papa and Cuba Street.Delue Cafe Great little coffee shop 2 mins walk away. Hotel was cheap but not very cheerful. Bed was comfy though.
