Hotel has a great location however, needs to be improved the bathroom is looking old and the carpets in the room as well. The rooms definitely need some tlc. Hotel staff we encountered such as housekeepers, breakfast staff look bored, tired and irritated and hardly smiled at guests. We felt our room wasn’t cleaned properly and the Toilet paper, body wash and tissue boxes weren’t replenished. On two occasions our bathroom bin wasn’t emptied. Also bathroom walls are dirty- Please maintain your hotel and keep up with Westin standards.

Good location rooms require upgrade

My hubby and I visit Cape Town twice a year and this is our first time staying at The Westin. Location is great near the waterfront and the convention centre is right opposite. We stayed here due to me running the two oceans marathon and the convenience. The room is nice and spacious however very standard. Bathroom wallas are dirty and requires some maintenenace. Room carpet is looking old and requires upgrade. The decor is pretty standard. Housekeeping doesn’t clean up properly. We stayed here for 5 nights and twice our bathroom Bin wasn’t emptied and toilet paper, body wash and tissue boxes weren’t replenished. The shower water temperature isn’t great either it’s cold or way too hot and we struggled to find good water temperature. Breakfast was nice and the pool on the 19th floor in the spa was great! Staff we interacted with were helpful and friendly. The bed in our room was super comfy. We had a good overall stay but I wouldn’t rate this hotel as luxury 5 star. They need to take it up a notch

LOCATION

Location very good, especially with the free shuttle every 30 mins from hotel to V & A Waterfront and back. Buffet breakfast with good choice of food Staff were friendly. Our request for higher floor was met. All in all a very pleasant stay. Would come back again next time. Highly recommended

Loistava hotelli hyvällä sijainnilla. Vain 5 min ilmaisen shuttle-matkan päässä V&A Waterfrontista tai 10 min kävelymatkan päässä. Runsas, maukas ja monipuolinen aamiainen, maukasta ruokaa ja ystävällinen sekä palvelualtis henkilökunta. Hotelli taitaa olla vastikäään täysin remontoitu. Siistiä, ehjää ja puhdasta. Uima-allas sekä sisällä että ulkona ja sisällä poreallas. Normaalin saunan lisäksi löytyy höyrysauna. Voisimme tulla toistekin.

Erinomainen kokonaisuus

Erittäin siisti hotelli ja loistava palvelu. Huone jatkuvasti siisti ja hoidettu, henkilökuntaa enemmän kuin tarpeeksi. Muodoltaan hieman "businesstyyppinen" korkea rakennus, mutta tätä kautta näköalat (oma huoneemme korkealla) loistavat. Sijanti riippu näkökulmasta: esittelyn perusteella oli mielikuva, että hotelli sijaitsee Waterfrontilla, mutta tosiasiassa se sijaitsee Waterfrontin tuntumassa, n. kilometrin kävelymatkan päässä. Mutta toisaalta, sukkula toimi koko ajan, kävely oli usein piristävä ja samalla ulkopuolisuus varmisti tietyn rauhan, sillä itse Waterfrontilla oli melkoinen kuhina koko ajan. Toinen näkökulma on, että Westin sijaitsee erinomaisesti myös varsinaiseen kaupungin keskustaan ja kävelykatuihin/puistoihin nähden. Eli kahden varsinaisen keskuksen puolivälissä - kun ensimmäisenä päivänä oli reitit tulleet selviksi, ei ongelma, pikemminkin päinvastoin. Palvelun taso, kuten todettua, korkea ja hotellin palvelut olivat monipuoliset. Tietysti iso bonus tulee siitä, mikäli on ollut onnekas ja päässyt Exclusive -osastoon, joka tekee palvelusta vieläkin parempaa ja tarjoaa mahdollisuuden nauttia mainio aamiainen sekä muista tarjoiluista penthouse -tasolla sijaitsevassa omassa loungessa, josta näköalat ovat hulppeat. Aamiainen oli ensiluokkainen, mutta ravintolapalvelut muuten hieman yksipuoliset. Tosin, lähistön vaihtoehdot ovat niin runsaat, ettei tällä ollut juurikaan väliä - eikä ravintola hotellissa heikko ollut, mutta silti kaupungin valtava ja monipuolinen tarjonta houkutteli enemmän puoleensa. Tosin ylimmän kerroksen näköalaravintola kannatti kokeilla. Vaikutelma oli, että hienoa hotellia käytettiin pääosin asukkaiden kannalta vahvaan aamiaiseen ja sitten mentiin lounastamaan/illastamaan muualle, ei heikon ruuan vaan suuren tarjonnan vuoksi.
