The staff and service were excellent. The one issue was the bathroom door which made a very loud squealing noise upon opening and closing. So loud that the other guest on the floor could hear it whenever the facility was used.

This property is excellent. It is easy to find and has dedicated parking. The staff are friendly and helpful with nothing too much trouble. Tha accommodation is great, the bed is just right. The shower really good. Also the breakfast was delicious.

Best stay in Ireland!

This was one of our best stays overall and top one in Ireland! The building is lovely and well kept. The staff was friendly, helpful, cheerful and always wanting to please! Our room was spacious and comfy. All this and an excellent location!

Ok, but not our favorite place.

It was ok. Really noisy at night with other people coming in late at night. They were very inconsiderate about others sleeping at 11:30pm. Made to pick out breakfast, but wasn’t the breakfast we ordered. Still, what we got was just ok. They had some smelly like thing in the room. Had to place them on the outside window ledge, because it gave us a headache.

Very poor standard of cleanliness

I have stayed at Boffin Lodge in the past and was looking forward to visiting again. I noticed some reviews mentioning that it needs updating and they were not wrong! General cleanliness of the hotel was poor. The entrance hall windows were filthy, covered in cobwebs and dead insects. Our room simply astonished me! How they considered that to be cleaned to an acceptable level is beyond my comprehension. All the windows were dirty and difficult to open. Surfaces were dusty everywhere.The curtain rails were almost coming away from the wall. The fitted sheets for both single beds did not fit and rode up during the night making it most uncomfortable. The towels provided had shrunk in the dryer and bunched up at the seams making them difficult to use. The very dated shower had areas of black mould in it. I felt the need to clean everything with wipes I had with me. The toilet was in the worst condition I have ever seen a toilet. The rim was crusted with hard black/brown limescale which had clearly built up over time. The toilet bowl was also stained black/brown.The toilet seat was sliding sideways. I immediately got a member of staff to the room and said it was totally unacceptable. Nothing she could do that evening but she would inform the owner. No apologies given. We had no alternative but to stay there. The following day the toilet was cleaned whilst we were out,demonstrating it was obviously neglected for a long time. I will never stay there again even if it gets refurbished
