I think this could have been a 5 star review but it got off on the wrong foot. Otherwise if you are looking for a quiet peaceful beautiful spot to relax in Curaçao, this was quite simply blissful.
The room was large, clean and well air-conditioned. There was a nice pool area which was great for watching the sunset, but I didn’t much use the pool, for there was a cute little beach strip where you can swim in clear blue waters and even snorkel there, equipment available from the front desk.
The restaurant just next to the little beach serves meals throughout the day, which had pretty good food, but if you fancy a wander, there is an array of restaurants about 10 min walk away.
So why didn’t I give them 5 stars instead of 4? Although the bedroom was very tastefully done, the e bathroom looked like it was stuck in the 1970s. I booked a room that was “with a sea view”. Yes, you can see the sea from the room, but the view was predominantly a mechanical digger from the aquarium next door. Even though I was treated to a little dolphin show one afternoon, it still feels a right cheek advertising the room as having a view. It also started with a bad impression when checking in. I was told breakfast was definitely not included even though I had booked it with. Although they did correct themselves, it just got things off on a wrong foot. At the end of my first hour there, this would have been a 2 star review, but the charm of the place gradually won me over.
