Beautiful lobby with a gorgeous lobby, bar and restaurant. Excellent location in downtown Winnipeg. When you pull up to the front doors, you definitely feel like it’s a step back in time, and a step towards a classier level of hotel stay.

I only needed the room for location to where i used to live, and to sleep. The walls were near paper thin. I could hear the person downstairs snoring as if they were in the room. The partiers in the room adjacent to mine also kept me awake. The experience was that of a hotel at a 1/3 of the price.

The Fort Garry is a stunning castle of a hotel with first class services and dining! Our 5 night stay was outstanding in every way imaginable. I highly recommend it and hope to return!

The rooms are a little small but I was staying by myself and only for one night, so it didn't really matter. Super comfy bed, loved the extra blanket on top - this came in handy because it was cold in Winnipeg. Really appreciated the bathrobes in the room; nice touch. The bathroom fixtures were a little old. Bathroom in general could use an upgrade. No view at all; my room looked directly into another room so I had to keep the blinds closed. The hotel is beautiful which made up for the slightly lacklustre experience in the room. Overall a good experience. Staff were great, especially in the restaurant. I'd stay here again but try to book a nicer room with some kind of view.
