Most of the advertised elements (spa, dining, conference rooms) are not completed yet or closed for repairs. Hotel was <5% occupied when we were there, and the limited staff were using the hotel for other commercial activities. We left after one night. We recommend avoiding this property.

The Sebel Xi Ning - Managed by Sofitel
The hotel was incredible in every way. The rooms large and well appointed, the staff were helpful in every way, and the overall facility and services were excellent.

Pleasant, newish hotel in Xining. All modern amenities. Unfortunately most of the staff spoke little or poor English leading to a couple of misunderstandings at times. Overal. Excellent stay

Qinghai Baiyun Xiangling Hotel
Just next to Xining Railway Station. Great for folks whowant to take train to Lhasa. Otherwise, not much food and shopping nearby. You have to walk about 20 minutes along Jianguo Road to do that. Front desk staff are very helpful. They can help you to print Tibet Visit Permit for RMB20 per page. ...
