"The staff were courteous and welcoming upon our arrival. However, there are several considerations that may be important for families planning a stay at this property. Notably, there is no direct elevator access from the main entrance to the first-floor elevator bank. After initially unloading our luggage onto a baggage cart, we were surprised to find that we needed to transfer our belongings to another cart located up a flight of stairs, which may be inconvenient for guests with children or significant luggage. Additionally, while the hotel’s location offers walkable access to nearby dining, we encountered multiple individuals approaching us for money during a short walk to lunch. On one occasion, a person approached closely from behind while we were waiting at a crosswalk and attempted to engage us with an unrelated question, which felt uncomfortable. Finally, some online booking platforms suggest that breakfast can be added to the stay; however, this is not the case. The only available option is a limited, Starbucks-style ordering area located within the lounge/bar, rather than a full breakfast service. Families may wish to consider alternative accommodations, such as the Hyatt Regency Columbus, which is conveniently connected to several dining options.
