Had a really relaxing stay at the Thalazur. The setting of the hotel is stunning. We felt really spoilt. The staff are very helpful and attentive. I would recommend for future guests that they have a better first aid kit and a wheelchair. I strained my ankle and would’ve benefitted from a wheelchair to help me get to and from the car during the rest of my stay. This might be useful for future guests. Thanks again!

Indoor pool not for children.

A nice hotel with good rooms and EV chargers. The big let down was the pool which refused entry to children. The minimum age was 12 which both children were over and both children wore the required swimming hats. However they decided that their swimming shorts did not meet their regulations and speedos had to be worn, so they were turned away.

Alllergen in food is poor

As the hotel is at least 30 to 50 mins away from other restaurants depending on which way you walk, then best to book at least b&b or 1/2 board. It needs to sharpen up its treatment of allergens in the food served. Whilst it has a notice tooked away at the entrance of the restaurant this does not include the plat de jour menus, the menus do not make reference to allergens either. So i was faced with a steak which came with mushroom puree covered in nuts. Also nuts are only classified as peanuts in the allergen menu and therefore the hotel excludes hazelnuts, almonds etc. For a hotel of this quality this should be improved

Not a friendly or well-located hotel so we left early, it had the vibe of an airport hotel unfortunately and not a destination where you actually want to spend time and relax. Busy with conferences and spa day guests. Public transport links are poor and taxis difficult to find and expensive. Rooms clean. Staff generally not welcoming with the exception of Pauline who was great. It’s not even called Thalazur it’s called Hotel des Bains d’Arguins, which appears to be linked up but not separate to the spa. The different name sums it up really - we expected one thing and got another. I’m sure it’s not bad for everyone - if we had had a car it may have been different, or at least felt less isolated, - but unfortunately it was an expensive mistake

Don’t bring children to this hotel.

3 star hotel at best, stayed with my 5 year old son for a weekend break. This hotel is not child friendly! We were afraid to use the pool as it was so quiet you could barely hear a whisper. Room was overlooking a building site, huge cranes, not exactly the sea view we were hoping for. Thankfully it was the weekend so no noise. Bed was comfortable but room was quite tired and very small. Sound proofing was awful , we were awoken most mornings very early from noise above and in the corridor. Room service was great and the staff in the restaurant friendly. Reception staff not so helpful and found them to be quite rude. No offer of help when checking in for our caes. Solo travel with a child an offer to at least help. Not a 4 star hotel. Probably the worst hotel we have stayed in for a number of years.

Ehrlich gesagt hatte ich vor der Reise einige Vorurteile, da man über Arcachon nicht viele herausragende Hotelangebote findet. Umso positiver war ich überrascht. Das Hotel befindet sich in einer der besten Lagen der Stadt und die gesamte Anlage ist sehr gepflegt. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die Freundlichkeit des Personals. Trotz kleiner Sprachbarrieren waren alle Mitarbeitenden stets hilfsbereit, aufmerksam und herzlich. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt ist der riesige Sandstrand, der nur etwa zwei Gehminuten vom Hotel entfernt liegt. Der Strand ist sehr sauber, gepflegt und bietet viel Platz zum Entspannen und Spazierengehen. Auch das Abendessen hat mich begeistert. In der Regel wird ein Drei-Gänge-Menü serviert, dessen Qualität hervorragend ist. Die Gerichte sind sorgfältig zubereitet, geschmacklich ausgezeichnet und auf einem Niveau, das man eher in einem sehr guten Restaurant erwarten würde. Jeder Abend war kulinarisch ein Genuss. Insgesamt hat das Hotel meine Erwartungen deutlich übertroffen. Die Kombination aus perfekter Lage, freundlichem Personal, gepflegter Anlage, traumhaftem Strand und ausgezeichnetem Essen macht dieses Hotel zu einer klaren Empfehlung für einen Aufenthalt in Arcachon. Wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder.

Excellent lieu de détente. Pour avoir fait de nombreux Spa Hotels à l'étranger, on retrouve bien en ce lieu la qualité française. Le personnel est incroyable. Je dois noter l'accueil fantastique - le matin au buffet du petit déjeuner - avec un large sourire (vous la reconnaitrez !). Ah ce buffet, un vrai régal, un vrai plaisir, merci. La chambre était très bien, le balcon, la vue, le soleil. Mais je ne pourrai malheureusement pas mettre 5 étoiles, sur les 4 visites du spa, 3 fois le hammam n'était pas fonctionnel, 1 fois le sauna était à 45 au lieu de 65 les autres jours. C'était la raison principale de ce séjour, et normalement la raison pour laquelle une personne choisira cet hôtel-spa. Le spa est petit, il doit fonctionner et ne pas accumuler autant de malfonctions. Je recommande néanmoins, sans ce dernier point, on frôle la perfection.

Personnel très sympathique. Hôtel propre et bien insonorisé. Espace spa noir de monde le samedi (en Octobre) et complétement inadapté en terme de dimension ( Sauna pour 7 personnes en se serrant, jacuzzi 7/8 personnes, ..).
